I mean, is there anything other than wild bold claims to support this statement?
We live in a three dimensional world that curves into a fourth physical dimension. Edwin Hubble made this discovery, one of the greatest in cosmology, back in the 20s. By measuring the spectral shift of distant galaxies he realized that all the galaxies are rushing away from us, every single one of them, as though at some point there was some intergalatic blunder! This admits two, and only two explanations:
1) our galaxy is the center of the universe. This is so improbable that it was immediately discarded.
2) our universe is a three dimensional universe that curves into a fourth physical dimension. For some of us trained in differential geometry, this makes tons of sense and explains perfectly the fabric of space that allows all the galaxies to rush away from each other.
Thus, there it is, solid experimental evidence collected in the 20s that shows that there must be, at least, a fourth physical dimension.
