Does God Hate?

If God is love, compassion, and the Truth, does God hate? Ive seen many people say that God hates homosexuality, child molestation, even Evil.

If God is noT human, how is it possible for God to express human emotion?

Im just wondering what yall think.

a) I don't think God is human
b) I cannot imagine God as being capable of hate - he might have a feeling of disappointment, but in my mind, he only waits for the return of the 'lost sheep'.

God is a Loving, Merciful and Forgiving God. He loves the person, but He does hate the sin in one's life.

Tss.... He could be the explanation for evil, or the redemption from Evil, or the one who dies in spite of Goodness from the fighters for Justice. On the other hand, He may just punish with poetic justice himself, and let us do Our eye for an eye; tooth for a tooth bit.

Zoroastrianism goes in a radical way further. It states that God makes everything happen with Hate and Love by and with that there. If you say GGod hates there is a really effective way to never be forgiven.

Isn't that a contradiction? You're saying God doesn't hate anything, but you're placing your (or whatever book/religion) opinion of a God onto him.

I wouldn't put it that way. God hates evil plain and simple.

Deuteronomy 12:31 - You shall not behave thus toward the LORD your God, for every abominable act which the LORD hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.

Deuteronomy 16:22 - You shall not set up for yourself a sacred pillar which the LORD your God hates.

Proverbs 6:16 - There are six things which the LORD hates,Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:

It should be prety clear that God does indeed hate. But His hatred burns against sin, not the sinners themselves.

Rather, it should be pretty clear that traditional Christianity teaches that God does indeed hate.

Saying God cant hate is placing a limitation on Him. God is GOD and He can hate something if He wants.

Hate is a limitation. If God can hate, then you're either saying that God hates part of Himself (which is absolutely insane), or your saying that there is something or somewhere that God is not. If that is possible, then God Himself must be limited if He cannot be there.

God did not create the world we see. This world is an illusion that we made when we tried to separate ourselves from God (which is completely impossible). God doesn't hate anything that happens in this world because He knows that we are dreaming. And He's waiting for us to awake and come home. All of us.

God doesn't hate anything that happens in this world because He knows that we are dreaming. And He's waiting for us to awake and come home. All of us.

a specific scripture comes to my mind where it states: God hates people that lie and do bad things.. proverbs and/or psalms me thinks. "there are * things God hates, no * things... a lying tongue, feet that are in a hurry to run to badness..."

God invented everything, emotions and the like, including the bad that he hates.
