Yes. I've read the Bible.
You're making assumptions.
Do tell me why you think I should dump him?
What is your reason for thinking so?
Very nice Jon. Now read the whole second column instead of just what the apostates placed arrows on to get a bigger context of the article.
Did you know that if you were to do a google search by typing in "Jehovah's Witnesses" that about 80 of the first 100 hits will be of a derogatory nature if not lies and hate outright?
I have been through all this stuff before countless times. I know all the tricks that have been used. I recognize all the crap immediately, it was so obvious.
Thanks for being honest by posting the link, many wouldn't have done that.
If I ever assume, I will say so. In this case, it was just typical.
I started studying, reluctantly I might add, in 1996 at the age of 42. Baptized in 1998.
In 1997, when I was working in construction, Satan sent to me a plumber who did everything in his power to get to flee from the congregation with accusations and lies that were way beyond the realm of what I have ever faced on any forum. All that did was strengthen my resolve to become stronger spiritually.
If you notice on my avatar, it says "Exiled from the HoC" Yes, I was banned for fielding attacks similar to what you two kids attempted tonight. Unfortunately the harshest attacks came from so called "ChristianS" One was the moderator who had the power of life and death at her finger tips.
Specifically, I was banned for using the term "web sites of lies and hate".
You see, some people are more than happy to dish it out, but can't take it when they are proven wrong or fraudulent.
But I must apologize because I did set you up, because I knew what the Watchtower said about 1975, and I had an article ready that you will never see on the web sites of lies and hate which basically in more detail say the same things that your article said.
Behold;
THE
YEAR 1975
At the Baltimore assembly Brother Franz in his closing remarks made some interesting comments regarding the year 1975. He began casually by saying, Just before I got on the platform a young man came to me and said, Say, what does this 1975 mean? Does it mean this, that or any other thing? In part, Brother Franz went on to say: You have noticed the chart [on pages 31-35 in the book Life Everlastingin Freedom of the Sons of God]. It shows that 6,000 years of human experience will end in 1975, about nine years from now. What does that mean? Does it mean that Gods rest day began 4026 B.C.E.? IT COULD HAVE. The Life Everlasting book does not say it did not. The book merely presents the chronology. You can accept it or reject it. If that is the case, what does that mean to us? [He went into some length showing the feasibility of the 4026 B.C.E. date as being the beginning of Gods rest day.]
What about the year 1975? What is it going to mean, dear friends? asked Brother Franz. Does it mean that Armageddon is going to be finished, with Satan bound, by 1975? IT COULD! iT COULD! All things are possible with God. Does it mean that Babylon the Great is going to go down by 1975? IT COULD! Does it mean that the attack of Gog of Magog is going to be made on Jehovahs witnesses to wipe them out, then Gog himself will be put out of action? IT COULD, BUT WE ARE NOT SAYING All things are possible with God. But we are not saying. AND DON'T ANY OF YOU BE SPECIFIC IN SAYING ANYTHING THAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN BETWEEN NOW AND 1975. But the big point of it all is this, dear friends: Time is short. Time is running out, no question about that.
The above article comes from the Nov. 15, 1966 Watchtower.
Nowhere does it say anything other than "maybe" Will the end come tomorrow?? IT COULD! IT COULD! Nothing for certain as the liars would want you to believe.
As you can see, 9 years before the fact, this warning was put out there not to start any rumors. But the rumors started anyway, and whose fault was it that they were believed? The people who fell for it!
They should have been paying attention.
The web sites of lies and hate are quite skillful in the way they present their deceptions. They are designed to confuse, confound, and outrage the ignorant.
So be careful, dump Jon (if he really is your boyfriend) and get back to meeting. This atheism crap is too unbecoming.

If you couldn't tell if I was a JW or not after all that, What makes you think this guy isn't poison or not?.
I question your powers of perception, that's all.
And I am out.
I see the words "possibly", "are we to assume" and "it may" but not the words "it will" or "for a certainty"
Care to address this portion of my response?
Why do people want to see the deity, if it exists, in the role of a parent? I never did understand that.
It's very sad to me hearing such thoughts coming from a 22 year old girl. Are these the thoughts of todays worldly youth in general?
I'd never want to live forever. It'd be hell.
Why, if you want to, would you want to, Pegg?
Im glad you posted the article, thanks for that.
What I see the article actually states is:
Are we to assume that the battle of Armageddon will begin by then? Possibly, but we wait to see...if these two periods run parallel to each other as to a calendar year it will not be by mere chance or accident but will be according to Jehovahs loving timely purposes.
Our chrononology (while reasonably accurate but admittedly not infallible) only points to 1975 as the year that marks the end of 6,000 years of mans existence on earth.
The article, when read in context, shows that the view of the society was that 1975 only marked the end of 6,000 years of mans existence on earth....they did not claim that it would be the end of the world.
As I said to Anna in the other thread, the idea that 1975 would be the end of the world was not coming from the society...it was speculated among individuals who were perhaps hoping that the end would come then....the the society never made such a claim as can be seen from this WT article.
