Modi.

Yes, that film, and all the other films that the same filmaker makes.

Are you saying you download samples of the songs and then bought? Or, the entire song/album and then bought? If the latter, why would you buy once you had the entire album? However, on the other side of the coin are the albums I have downloaded, listened to, then bought the album.
I download the entire album. Are you saying you download samples of the songs and then bought? Or, the entire song/album and then bought? If the latter, why would you buy once you had the entire album?
Can't you burn the tunes to a cd on your computer?I download the entire album.
I buy the cd because my van has a cd player.
Yes.Can't you burn the tunes to a cd on your computer?
Then why would you buy an album?Yes.
As either regular cds or MP3 cds
Or I could use my Ipod and listen to them through my van stereo that way.
because my van has a cd player. Then why would you buy an album?
:biglaugh: Oh! You're talking about a literal vinyl album. Sorry, I'm kinda dumb sometimes.because my van has a cd player.
I thought CDs were made of plastic...?:biglaugh: Oh! You're talking about a literal vinyl album. Sorry, I'm kinda dumb sometimes.
You know, sometimes communicating through text sucks. If you and I were talking in person over a beer, this conversation would have been completed 15 minutes ago. Although if I had more than 2 beers I can't guarantee that.I thought CDs were made of plastic...?
When you say vinyl I think of a record player.
The kind that comes in 33's and 45's and the less popular 78's.
I do have one of those in my home, But it would be rather silly to play it in the van when it (the van) already has a cd player.
You asked if I could burn them to cds.You know, sometimes communicating through text sucks. If you and I were talking in person over a beer, this conversation would have been completed 15 minutes ago. Although if I had more than 2 beers I can't guarantee that.
Yes, a vinyl album is the kind you play on a turntable. However, some people buy a cd and still call it an "album". So, we are talking about cds...good. When you say you download songs and transfer them to a cd, I'm wondering why you would then go out and buy it. If this doesn't make sense this time, I'm just gonna go to bed.
You stinker. Good answer. You asked if I could burn them to cds.
I said yes I could.
You never asked if I DID burn them to cds.
Because if you had, I would have answered no.
Yes, I do the same. However, some people use the word, "cd" exclusively so I'm not always sure which format a person means if they use the word, "album" because it's popular again to buy vinyl copies.I use the term album to refer to a collection of songs.al·bum 1. A book with blank pages for the insertion and preservation of collections, as of stamps, photographs, or autographs.definition 2E from the above.
2. a. A set of musical recordings stored together in jackets under one binding.
b. The holder for such recordings.
c. One or more 12-inch long-playing records in a slipcase.
d. A phonograph record.
e. A recording of different musical pieces.
3. A printed collection of musical compositions, pictures, or literary selections.
4. A tall, handsomely printed book, popular especially in the 19th century, often having profuse illustrations and short, sentimental texts
So an album can be a cassete, an 8-track, a cd, etc.
I completely agree and do the same thing, except I would never download Britney Spears in the first place. Movies that I have downloaded, loved, and then bought include the Star Wars trilogy, Matrix trilogy, Ghost in the Shell SAC series, Spiderman trilogy, Legend of Drunken Master, House of Flying Daggers, and probably a few others I can't remember (I'm at work so I can't check). I bought them because I became a fan and consider them to be collectors items. The good stuff gets my support and the crap gets deleted. It's like, why do people support PBS when they can watch it for free? Because they want to support the kind of TV that they like. I know this isn't always the case and there are some people who download hoards of stuff and never buy anything. I doubt those people would never buy anything anyway, even without internet they can always borrow from friends and make copies like we did back in the VCR/Cassette tape days.I guess it does hurt sales.
I downloaded Britney Spears new album, listened to it, found it to be nothing but trashy garbage(being nice here), deleted it, and will not buy the album.
However, on the other side of the coin are the albums I have downloaded, listened to, then bought the album.
I do the same with movies. If I like the movie I buy it on DVD, if I do not like the movie, I do not buy the DVD.
The reason I say it hurts the industry is because they are not getting my money for garbage.
And since most of what I have downloaded is garbage...
