you tell me lightbulb :faint:

Nehemiah 8:4: And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose;

Was Ezra a member of the early church? Did he worship the same way?

wrong Draino

I Timothy 1:1: Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
I Timothy 1:2: Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

:thud:

Just because it says that it's written by Paul doesn't mean that it was.

The church structure and vocabulary are completely foreign to his genuine letters.

what are you ? 12?

I'm old enough not to spew weak insults at people just because they disagree with me.

And no thinking person will agree that Paul wrote the Pastorals. That's been common knowledge for more than 200 years.

nobody can be this stupid

You're the one that brought it up.

And trolls like you don't last long on RF. You should stop insulting people or find somewhere else to spread your slime.

Nope, he isn't. Which is probably why he's having such a hard time communicating with you.

I'll translate for you: when AE said this...:

...that was just a nice way of saying that nobody with any education (that's "book lurnin" where you are, probably) believes that Paul actually wrote the Epistles to Timothy or Titus.

you just don't agree because you can't prove me wrong

sorry charlie

haha

Do you need to reason with a person masturbating in public?

If I were to prove you wrong, you wouldn't be intellectually honest enough to change your mind.

There's not evidence that ANYONE preached in early worship. They were too disorganized for a quiet, restrained service with hymns and a sermon. Worship in Corinth, for example, had women prophets and speaking in tongues. Prophesying is the closest thing that we have to the modern sermon, and Paul regulates it (requires head coverings) rather than forbids it.

But you can slander the text to your liking. No one can stop you.
