Does your religion allow nude dancing? If so, under what circumstances? If not, why not?

Though I'm not religous, I voted based on the religion I grew up in. The answer, then, is no, never. Nudity in general is frowned upon. Dancing would just make it worse.

yes, though i personally only partake when i'm on my own, in my room, with curtains safely closed.

Oh no, not nudity! Quick, cover that up lest people know what you really look like! As an atheist, I encourage nudity. Dancing is also encouraged. Combined is fine. You could really have straight up sex on my couch if you want, just clean up when your done and don't leave any stains.

Yes, Eudaimonism "allows" nude dancing, but this resolves to a judgment call on the part of the would-be dancer and the would-be viewers. (I used scare quotes because Eudaimonism isn't a set of Commandments from on high. There is no one to do any allowing or forbidding.)

In making such a judgment, I could ask myself, by dancing nude (or viewing nude dancers), am I true to myself? Is this an activity that ennobles me? Or degrades me? Is this an activity that contributes to my self-esteem? Or hinders it? Is this a distraction from higher priorities, or a celebration of my sacred values? Is this a bad habit, or something that contributes to my life?

The answer depends on one's nature as an individual, and could go in either direction from individual to individual. It is important to be diligent in seeking self-knowledge so that one may arrive at the best answers one can to make this judgment.

I don't think I belong to any sort of religion, so I said "Other."

But I do believe that people have the right to participate in nude dances without interference from others. I mean honestly, it's just a human body.

Woos. :D

Dancing in the rain is the most fun (no wet sticky clothes).

Dancing in the snow... well I haven't tried that yet but it sounds fun.

It's invigorating for about 3 minutes, and then it starts to get painful...

Dancing in the nude, in the rain, in the moonlight or the middle of the day (but I advise not in populated well-seen areas;) ) are all just fine in my religion. In fact, one could say it is welcomed and , in some cases, encouraged.:jiggy::woohoo:

I voted other because the Episcopal Church does not take a stand on this issue. But basically, I see nothing wrong with nude dancing or other nude activities.
