Literally dozens of these birther cases have been presented in court, and every single one has been tossed out. The Supreme Court has refused, without comment, to hear any of them.

Obama doesn't even have to lift a finger to deep-six this numbnuttery anymore. When there was a ballot challenge during the primaries, the Georgia Secretary of State ordered Obama to appear in court there. Obama merely ignored the order. The court found the case without merit, and Obama appeared on the primary ballot.

I really think it behooves the Republicans to distance themselves from this birther lunacy. But hey, if right-wingers want everyone to think they're all racist cranks, that's their prerogative.
