My pespectuve always open and probably unprovable is it was a kind of cultural graffitti of another cultures religion.. Its a very wealthy person who owns it obviously. Its in a roman villa. Its a greek character. In roman culture they have a similar character faunus. Both are the same archetype found in multiple cultures and in the bible as well. Archetypes are grouped qualities like a cord in guitar.. A grouped harmonic that resonates..
I take this particular archetype extremely serious. Archetypes are more real than birth defects.
In fact it pissed me off the instant i saw it 10 years ago. Never thought of having it posted on rf in 10 years..
