Donating your organs after death

I am often suprised how squemish people are about this, I am especially suprised when it is an atheist

Do you have strong feelings about this one way or the other?

Are there any parts of your body you wouldn't want to donate?

Do you not want to donate at all, if so why?

Personally you can feed my scraps to the dogs if you want, when I'm done, I'm done.

Donating your organ is not enough. Donate your other musical instruments too! Be really generous!!!

The theremin stays with me!!!!

Yeah, it all goes. Except the brain, that goes into a giant robot and will be programmed to destroy.

I'm okay with donating whatever organs might be useful.

On our organ donor cards here, we have a little box to check off if you want to donate your entire body to be used for research or teaching at a unversity or medical institution. That I'm less comfortable with, though I'd be hard-pressed to come up with a valid, rational reason why.

I don't like the thought of laying there in a deep coma, with a doctor hovering over me who has been asked by some millionair and promised a substantial reward to keep his eye open and find a possible heart and lung transplant for his dying son.

I went to school with somebody who sold her body to a university, after she is dead they come and collect, I think she got about €2,000

Nah, the brain returns to the universal elements from which it is was created as does everything else that has not been used and transplanted into another living body.

The only thing that remains is the spirit/mind that had developed in that body and imprinted into the eternal life that was in the very beginning and has evolved on all my human and pre-human ancestors before becoming "Who I Am."

Yeah... that's not going to happen here. Buying and selling of human bodies, organs, body parts, tissue, etc. is illegal in Canada. It's even illegal to blood banks to pay donors here.
