Don't worry about Trump, liberals

With Democrats having the house, I don't think Trump can do much. Even many Republicans have done what they can to put Trump in check. He's quite unpopular even with his own, yet I've heard so many liberals speak of him like he's some cult figure thats going to trample upon the rights of the poor, deny people Healthcare, take away their social security disability, take away women's rights to choose, and turn America into some fascist dictatorship.

I don't see Trump as a threat. Too many people hate him, especially the media. I've never seen a President who so many Americans hated more than Donald Trump.

There are articles that say America is on the road to becoming fascist.
If it was fascist, the media would not keep bashing Donald Trump. A Fascist government, or a government on the road to becoming fascist, would never allow any such thing, and the media would be censored.

I can't see how a man who is so hated in his country, and sometimes in his own party, and constantly mocked and bashed by the media, is much of a threat at all.

And yet, the country endures. We even make progress.

From outside the US, Trump looks the most shallow and fake of all american presidents. I get the feeling he treats the presidency as a Joke.He is far more concerned with his appearance than real social advancement retreating into shallow populist rhetoric and blaming (Your FIRED) anyone but himself. My estimation of the US has dropped significantly, the implicit trust we have had with the US for 70 years is gone.
Cheers

They love to hate him, if they were as interested in uniting this supposedly divided country as they claim they are they would unite behind Trump instead of worshipping the self flaggelation tool of their masochism.

You cannot compare "fascist countries from the past" with "America becoming fascist". So much of freedom now cannot be switched of at once. So if America would go the fascist road it will go slowly, step by step introducing "Big Brother" controlling the people IMO.

I would not worry about Trump at all. Better worry about the elite who decided that Trump should become president.

That is actually a concern I have, deadlock. I am hopeful bi-partisan solutions can begin to be produced, but there I go being optimistic again.

Yeah, you can't really expect the rest of the world to respect or take America seriously anymore.

You mean just like the GOP did behind Obama?

I sincerely hope so. We have to start looking at ourselves and our own interests for a change rather than everybody elses.

I'd say let the world fend for itself for a bit without the US.

Or get rid of him and elect a decent president worthy of respect. Or right, thats what these pesky lefties want. And apparently many of his own team

Trump has given credibility to the Fascist tending far right.
They are probably not yet as strong or influential as they were at the start of the Second WW.
But they should be watched very carefully as should the doings of Bannon, who is pushing his agenda into Europe.
