I find that interesting. I've talked about the death of my daughter, my grandkids, my age, my early activity in the civil rights movement, my vacation to
I do remember you talking about your daughter, your grandkid (and the monte carlo too) and your frequent posts about civil rights including your gf at that time, but couldn't think of anything that applies from that so I was hoping personal hobbies or interests or just using your first name with a twist to it ....(like robtex). Wow you put your age on here. I missed that.

Cur is easy to type. I guess I should not alk here, I did not know enough coming in to creat a short name that was easy to type. If you are unhappy with Deut, by all means change it. I kind of like Deut though, it is easy to type and it is not such a bad moniker.

Pehaps, but why do that when I could have something like JayHawker Soule? ;)
Why settle for anything less than the best? :149: You deserve JayHawker Soule, and we deserve to be around a person with such a cool name! (Although I've always liked Deut... My mom will find it confusing when I do my daily 'forum gossip' and it would no longer be 'and then Deut said this...', hehee!)

In some First Nations traditions, the hawk is known for its keen sight so much that it is called upon when a person wants to see things clearly. The eagle flies higher, so it can see things broadly, but the hawk's razor-vision cuts through all subterfuge and attempts to decieve.

I think it's the perfect name for you. :bounce

Many moons ago I was essentially assigned my avatar some forum member(s). I must admit that I've grown attached to it. My username, however, is a somewhat different matter. You see, I'm not overly fond of the typical 'deut', yet I also recognize that "Deut. 32.8" is somewhat cumbersome and hardly the type of name that rolls off the tongue.

So, while I fully recognize that I'm opening myself up here, any suggestions?
If you do not care to be refered to as Deut, then I will use your full username, Deut.32.8. (or whatever else you choose). Personally, I am very fond of the name, Deut, but that is only because I strongly associate it with an acerbic tongue, a probing intelligence, and a warm and compassionate heart.

What made you choose Deut. 32.8 in the first place?
Forgive me if I seemed to ignore you. I've always found Deuteronomy 32.8 an interesting verse for a number of reasons. You might wish to look here

How about Bob? Its simple...non-descript I grant you... but hey no one will accidently misspell it. :D

but then again how could one possibly resist something like JayHawker Soule? ;)

Deutanator!
I'll second that. No matter what you want to call yourself, whenever I respond to one of your posts, I picture myself talking to Groucho Marx.

Call me old fashioned, but I like the name Deut.

Still, if you must change your name, I think you should consider changing it to Groucho. Or possibly Deutinator.

If you're going to involve keen-sighted birds in your name, may I suggest the noble Bald Eagle? :p

Hmmm ? I did hear somewhere that he does have " thining hair " . ;)

{ I'm teasing Deut. . To call my hair thining would be optimistic , to say the lest }
