This isn't really a debate, but I was wondering what people's thoughts are of him? Good scientist? Bad scientist?

Not sure what I can say about the quality of his scientific work as he's not really a scientist. I do know that, with regards to the evolution debate, he is a total hack who promotes pseudoscience and advocates scientific illiteracy. He's a campaigner who uses misinformation and manipulation to try and force honest science out of classrooms and force his unscientific, religion-based agenda in.

One gets the sense of someone trolling for validation. But, that aside, ...

Let's say that Fred says he's great while Freda suggests that he's worthless. How will you evaluate those two opinions? What minimum credentials will you require before giving credence to one judgment or the other?

Before I give you my opinion on Stephen C. Meyer, would you please be so good as to give us yours. I am curious to know what you think.

As ImmortalFlame has pointed out, Meyer isn't a scientist: one who does scientific work. His PhD is in history and philosophy of science, which he used to teach philosophy.

I have no opinion as I just heard about him today though a thread on this forum. Although his name rings a bell. Thought I'd look him up.
