Do we live in two intertwining dream worlds ? Some view the physical realm as the 'real' world and the sleeping(dream) realm as the lesser of the two.
Some people are good with their faith like that. Faith in the physical realm as 'real' with literally nothing to back that up.
My current opinion is that both realms are important. I often look forward to my rest periods and to see what unfolds. But the strange thing is I am not remembering my dreams, although of late I have began to recall bits and pieces of my dream experience.
I do need to be present when I leave my bed because I am guilty of sleepwalking my way through my waking hours. If I do this then I think I will remember more from my sleeping dream world.
A final few words on the content of my sleeping dream world is that my dreams tend to be boring ! My wife has amazingly vivid and exciting dreams where she encounters aliens, vampires and other worldly beings ! I often have to wake her up because she is in distress, I do this gently and am well practised at waking her up safely.
i look forward to hearing from you and maybe we can make this a lively thread !
Blessings to you all.
PS A few years ago I dreamt of being abducted by what appeared to be an alien type craft, but when I became more aware of the dream I found myself in a military type hospital setting. This could have been a MILABS - Military Abductions.

Further question: Have you dreamt of your departed loved ones ? Includes pets.
If you want to remember night dreams more vividly, keep a notebook by you and write stuff down. May take a few weeks before this really becomes habitual, but when it does, you can look back years later and realize the experience you had was as vivid as anything you did say yesterday (in the physical realm).
Lucid night dreaming is interesting. I dabbled in that for awhile, but essentially got lazy with it.
I personally feel like I dream every single night, but currently am not taking notes, so I rarely retain those experiences. I do understand them as (actual) experiences, with what I see as no actual consequences. I think that's ultimately true with the physical realm (daily life), but like night dreams, I'm not wanting to test that out just to see how much I've overcome any fears associated with that type of rhetoric. In night dreams, I'm pretty sure I don't want to do anything dangerous or put myself in situation where I believe I will for sure die (a physical death).
Regarding your last question, I do dream of my departed earthly father often enough. It'll usually include some aspect of him still being with me, living near me. Within the dream, I'm very convinced that I was mistaken of him passing away. I'll then upon waking take anywhere from a few seconds to (one time) up to an hour to remember that he did pass from the physical realm. Yet, because I have strong belief, I'd say understanding that departed people are actually closer to us than they ever could possibly be while in the physical realm, it's not like I have the dreams in way where upon waking I really miss the person. There's a little of that, but I fully understand what I identified as my earthly father is closer now with me than I generally perceived him to be while he was 'living on earth.'
Have had a couple dreams with pet that I/we had when I was growing up. That is more of a "I miss those past experiences" upon waking up, but with pets it's just different, for me. The dreams are a lot less interpersonal than the past experiences, so the dream does induce a little bit of longing for that pet, but usually that last a few hours or less for me.
