Allowing any verified user to do this seems a bad idea, but having a special verification for a smallish number of users, to challenge factual inaccuracies (not simply differences in opinion) while also being held accountable for the accuracy of their 'challenges' might work.

I guess the only way to find out for sure is to actually see this in action.

That can happen when an elderly person is elected to the presidency or to another politician position. It happened with the former president who publicly claimed that the Continental Army 'took over the airports' during the American Revolutionary War.

I live in California, a place you claim is authoritarian. But where? I'm free to vote, free to change jobs and get training or education whenever I want. And because weed is legal here I gained that. Really, pretty much everything I did in Indiana it's legal for me to do here, and California doesn't even tell me I can't buy alcohol on Sundays.
