Education Fosters Political Polarization

I don’t know what the line colors are supposed to mean but seems pretty misleading considering most people are moderate.
I'm not sure most people are moderates. It depends on the party.

The democratic party has more moderates than progressives.
The republican party has more conservatives than moderates.

Makes perfect sense to me. A conservative christian going to Liberty University isn't going to get more liberal. And a liberal going to NYU isn't going to get more conservative.

Chart doesn't make sense. It's proven the higher education levels a person has, the more likely they'll vote democratic. I've never met a 'extreme conservative' with a college education. Those people usually hate education.

Yet US political demographics seem to suggest there must be millions of them...

Millions of extreme conservatives with a college education? Doubt it.

Judge Judy taught me that if something doesn't make sense it's probably not true.

Who do you think are all these people who keep electing Republicans into political office though?

What's your definition. of an extreme conservative btw?

Well it appears moderates have gone down a bit but the graph is still misleading.

It’s easy to see how the OP graph is misleading when looking at this graph. And I’m suspicious of “slightly liberal” and “slightly conservative which also means “slightly moderate far as I’m concerned.

Plus Indeendents outnumber both Dems and Repubs so I’m very suspicious of all those figures.
