hi,

i am new to this forum but i have used a lot of forums and i am currently establishing my own psychology forum.

i have been interested in religion and spirituality for about 8 years. for me finding religion and spirituality and my interst in psychology have saved my life. i was diagnosed with schizophreina in 1997 and only for the changes i made in my life, due to my interest in psychology and spirituality, well, i would not like to think where i would be now.

i am always looking for the connections between belief and reality, and how individuals expereince reality and communicate that experience through the language of their beliefs.

so thats me in nutshell, look forward to some interesting discussions on these boards

Hi Ellion, welcome to the forums.

Frubals are basically candy for the ego (yum :yes: ). the officail description is as follows;

Frubals
Have you ever hear the phrase 'instant karma'? Frubals (sometimes known as 'reputation') are are a very close equivelent. Let's say, for example, you see a post that you really like. You can validate that person by clicking on the little 'frubal link that appears in that post. (It's toward the right-hand side, and usually has a bar underneath it.) A pop-up message will come up, asking what you thought of the post and will have a blank space where you can write your thoughts on that post. The other member will have it noted in their "User CP" that someone thought that that post was worth frubals, and if you enclosed a note, that will appear next to the notation.
Something to remember while doing this is that the other poster won't know who the frubals are coming from, which is good if you want to remain anonymous, but it's sometimes nice for them to know who is admiring their thoughts. If you want to let them know who these frubals are coming from, include your name somewhere in the note that you send to them. (Just like a "From" message on a card.)
There are many terms used on the forums that denote giving someone frubals. Among them are "frubaling a post," "frubalizing someone," and "fruballed."
As our founder, Rex_Admin, has noted, there are a number of variables that determine how many frubals you give when 'frubalize' a person. (And, of course, how many frubals you can give in one day.)
Register Date Factor:
For every 132 number of days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
Post Count Factor:
For every 100 number of posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
Reputation Point Factor:
For every 250 points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
Minimum Post Count:
How many posts must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 50
Minimum Reputation Count:
How much reputation must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 10
Daily Reputation Clicks Limit:
How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period? Administrators are exempt from this limit. 10
Reputation User Spread:

How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? (Administrators are exempt from this limit.) 5

Update: Frubals are no longer anonymous. Now, the system automatically shows the name of the person sending the frubals.
