Embarassing personal habits

Bastet

I talk to myself all the time...sometimes I'm quite nasty to myself, but then I always get myself back later on. :p I have conversations with my cat too...sometimes long ones. She always has something to say...

Oh, and (Bob, close your eyes), I only ever pick my nose when I'm on the toilet - that way my hands get washed afterwards. ;)
There's this regular customer at work who sits in the dining room, picks her nose, and eats it - all without embarassment on her part (but with much disgust from those of us unlucky enough to witness it). There's a scramble to get away when she approaches the counter - the one unlucky enough to still be standing there gets to serve her. I think I've served her three times this year, and she's in every day. :D

When I'm tired, I run my fingers through my hair, and scratch my head, picking at any bumps I may find. For hours. I pick at my face too (which does my already bad skin no good at all). I'd much rather be a hair twirler when I'm tired...but even when I had enough hair for that, I never got into it.

Oh, now bastet's reminded me - I brush my teeth with the electric toothbrush whilst on the toilet; I call it 'mixing business with pleasure'.:p

I hope Bob's not reading this...he's already having trouble forgetting who folds and who crumples their toilet paper whenever he goes. :biglaugh:

Due to the fact that I like music when I work I find myself singing odd little songs or what I last heard on the radio while I'm at work. I often get weird looks from my co-workers when they catch me singing softly to myself...so being the weirdo I am I start singing louder and sometimes dance to what I'm singing...usually in front of the cameras:jiggy: .

At least they just think I'm nuts for singing at work like I'm in too good a mood for work...no one yet has complained about my singing voice though :D .

My embarassing personal habits tend to embarass those around me rather than me, it's quite hard to embarass me.

I hate showering and so rarely do it. I shower maybe once a week. When my hair is greasy to the point it can stick up on end by itself, this is when I know it's time to shower. Oddly enough though, while I only shower once a week, I'm obsessively clean about my hands, washing them 15 times a day at least.

I get nosebleeds a lot, while this in itself isn't a habit, it stems from another bad habit I just cannot kick; one that I will not get into right now. But constant nosebleeds tend to be embarassing. I'll be at a swanky restaurant, doing nothing but sitting there and all of a sudden *bloop* blood dipping down my face.

I bite the sides of my cheeks. It's not embarassing per se, but it embarasses other people when I do it in public and my face twists in these odd, ugly faces while I'm doing it, lol.

I've always got a song in my head, so I tend to tap tables, desks, my knees, etc. basically anything around me, with my fingers, tapping along to this imaginary beat that no one can hear but me.

Well I don't really have any personal habits, per say. But whenever my daughter and I go shopping together we somehow, always end up getting seperated. So when I finally locate her, usually in the make-up aisle, I call out her name quite loudly..."Lola? Lola? Where are you Lola?" To which she turns, and very quickly, runs in the other direction. Laughing hysterically at me, pretending she has no idea who I am.........I love going shopping!

Oh, BTW, her name is Amanda.:D

I do have the habit of talking to myself as well...I think most people do it and just don't admit it. But usually when someone comments on me talking to myself I usually say something like: "It's the only way I can have an actual intelligent conversation around here obviously" ohhhhh...that's a burn! Most people don't really say anything about it because they know they do it too...usually only the ones with a stick somewhere get snotty about it and that's when I say that.

Pic your nose? In public? No WAY!!! However, I am the master of the snot rocket. I can hit someone at twenty feet (easy) and with semi-deadly accuracy.

I clean my mask with my tongue. I pee in my suit. I have been known to do my share of "off-shore dumping". I answer the phone and when my Son's friend asks if he is there, I ask back "Is this a poll, or would you like to speak with him?"

A fellow 'snot rocket' - we must have a contest one day NetDoc; I bet I can beat you! When I wa young, I always had linen handkerchiefs, as did my Dad. One day, I read the one (apparently Chinese) in which the guy looked at us westerners in horror, seing us use a hadkerchief in dismay. He asked the occidental guy "Do you have nice linen for all your excretia, wrap it up and put it in your pocket?":)

I wear nothing but black clothes. I dont find it to be embarassing, but my mom does.
Whenever I have a non-serious wound that bleeds alot, I will drink the blood of it because not only have I got the acquired taste to like it (a story for another thread) It completly grosses out most people who see it.
I start to eat the skin off my fingers when I get hungry. Its tastless, has no nutritional value, not filling in any way, but it gives me something to munch on.

Burping was a contest in my house. And my mother is still the reigning champion. But being a female myself, others are often embarrassed by my lack of modesty in that area. And like Bastet, I am a zit popper. I don't know why spending an hour in the mirror is more appealing to me than spending just a few minutes to 'deep clean' my face. But I did really like those little strips they came out with that pulls all the black heads out of your nose.

I do not know why, I never had bad acne. My first husband liked to lay in my lap and have me get his pimples.

 I must admit the last few posts had me wavering back and forth from a cringing "ewwwwwwwww" and busting out laughing!:biglaugh:

Brandie, who sometimes posts on this forum, has taken the cake when it comes to belching contests...the girl can belch at one end of a crowded, noisy, music filled bar and get complimented from the other end of the bar! :jam: I so have to get her on here now!:D
