Does GOD prohibit any person from taking up Quran and trying to understand it on his own??As far as i know.. God doesnt do that but rather invites each and everyone of us regardless of how intelligent or knowledgable we may or may not be to study the Quran on our own and if we wish to ask someone for better understanding we may do that as well but the fact remains that GOD is the one who teaches us and guides us.True believers recognize this!

Common man, even I can answer that. That is one of those suras we are not sure about so it doesn't count
the one they translated into virgins...duh
they say dark eyed maidens with swelling brests too.
virgins/whores/whatever.....the message seems to be that you'll get laid in heaven......on a nice couch....in a garden.

You can't even locate the very Arabic word that you want to pour all those English meanings into...
If all the english translations are wrong, why have they not been changed?
When Rodwell translates the word "ATOM" I get the point, It's not really an atom..but I get the meaning...."the smallest thing imagineable" a "mote"
Same thing...Wether the word actually literally means virgin, I dunno, I do however get the message of sexual gratification in heaven.

If everyone agreed upon a rendering, then why are there so many renderings?
The Koran does not promote a sensual gratification in Heaven.
Only islam wants to interpret it this way...
However, as we know, it is not God's word...it never claims to be...
