Equality is a lie. Is it not?
We are not born equal. I was not born royal. My parents/grandparents worked in the fields
Our lives are not equal. My life is not equal to that of Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk.
We are not treated as equals. I am not treated as Beyoncé is treated. IOW as a celebrity get treated.

Is equality just a pie in the sky idealism we are supposed to pretend exists?
Is it roleplay? A way to feel better about the truth of inequality?

The end goal of equality, is it realistic? If not, what is the point?

Some people see it as a worthy goal to strive towards.
On the other hand, people enamored with hierarchies won't find much that appeals to them in that struggle.

I see hierarchies as a necessary reality. What we can strive for is to make them as fair as possible.

First, I don't agree. They neither have to be about privilege nor misery. Not that that is not often the case.
Second, I don't see how society can function without them.

Ultimately someone has to make choices and decision for the group which ought to be about responsibility and accountability not privilege.

No, never was, never will be.

If not, what is the point?

The point is that as long as people believe this lie they will keep trying to make this fantasy a reality and the smart ones will profit off their stupidity. Look at the big corporations today for example, milking this whole equality thing to boost sales. You only see "equality" at the lower levels, never at the top because equality was never achievable nor a realistic goal

Equality, that is the oneness of humankind, is a reality and a fact: that a person born into one set of circumstances is equal to any other born into any other situation, as a human being.

Now if we don't see equality in practice in the world, this is because we the people have created these inequalities ourselves... and ultimately we are the only ones that can impose equality and fairness to the world around us.

So when we see lack of equality and fairness, to change that is our responsibility.
