Evangelical Pastor Urges Christians to 'Mobilize' to Fight Civil War Against Left-Wing Activists

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
It's time for the left to be fully armed given what the right-wing terrorists are planning. And I'm not waiting for trump supporters to denounce this and call for him to be locked up for threatening urban warfare. We're on the edge of an all out war with right-wing terrorists and we should not fool ourselves about what they're planning.

Evangelical Pastor Urges Christians to 'Mobilize' to Fight Civil War Against Left-Wing Activists

"We're in time for war. We need to recognize that. We need to mobilize. We need to get ready," Joyner said during the show. He went on to discuss "our civil war," saying that he'd seen in a dream that "militias would pop up like mushrooms" and they would be backed by God.

"Jesus himself said, 'There's gonna be a time when you need to sell your coat and buy a sword.' Now that was a physical weapon of their day, and we're in that time here. We need to realize that," he said.

The pastor went on to say that God had "seeded" the U.S. with veterans of recent wars who "know how to fight in urban warfare." He said that these veterans would "be a part of the leadership of these militias and help us in what's about to unfold in our own country." Joyner described them as "patriots."
Dang. I thought it would be the southern baptists that would be leading the charge.

Onward Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before.
Christ, the royal Master,
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See, His banners go!
Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus,
Going on before.

For God and Country (in that order).

Glad to see you supporting the 2nd Amendment. Now you understand why many of us feel it's important to do so. Good on you...
I don't think you need guns. This seems more a case for torches and pitchforks.

Stop. Just stop.

I'm just going to point down to my signature, @sun rise . Think about that for a long, long time. Think about that for a long, long time in the context of your own values. Sharing a story gives it more power. Is this really something you want to give more power to?
You'd be right if it were @sun rise's story. But it isn't, it's Rick Joyner's story. And it's important information. It's a data point on the mood scale of the nation.

The OP did say....
"It's time for the left to be fully armed given
what the right-wing terrorists are planning."

I agree that such exhortations should stop.

On both sides. And remember that the pastor started it. So @sun rise can claim self defence. (Though he really shouldn't. When the right wing nutters want war, the best way to annoy them is to not show up.)

Funny you have no problem completely supporting right wing nuts having lots of guns, do you only support guns for your side??

I don't like the idea of fomenting violence that results
in justifiable self defense. Peaceful relationships are
better (IMO).

Oh, you poor angry fearful lefties.
I can help.
Having guns does not mean we favor using them wrongfully.
Newbies should not be purchasing guns out of fear, anger, &
prepping for wrongful conflict. We should avoid harming others.
I'm sure that @sun rise agrees with me on this.
(Although it might make him feel dirty.)

Better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them.

For defense of course.

Gun sales are through the roof.

Its time for peaceful protest to turn into non-violent revolution, before the confederacy returns. We must crush the violent believers who are by nature sadistic for killing for Heaven.

Right. Only long term hard-line NRA Trump Sheeples should be doing it.

Doomsday preppers are thinning out across the US, and it may be because President Trump quiets their fears
In 2014, British criminologist and researcher Michael Mills traveled to the US to investigate why so many Americans were preparing for the end of the world as we know it.

People across the country were stockpiling supplies like toilet paper, ready-to-eat food rations called MREs, and straws that turn pond water into drinkable liquid.

The "preppers" had a variety of reasons for their doomsday stashes. Some worried about food and water shortages after natural disasters, others wanted to be ready for war, deadly pandemic diseases, or a major power system failure at a moment's notice.

But many were motivated to prep, at least in part, based on who was living in the White House at the time. Mills asked one prepper, named Mary, about her motivations:

"Let me ask how politics impacts on your prepping," Mills said at the time. "Could you –"

"Yeah, Obama needs to go!" Mary said as she bolted towards Mills' recorder. "OBAMA NEEDS TO GO!"

Mary's opinion was not an entirely uncommon view among American preppers at the time. Thirty-five of the 39 that Mills spoke to on that 2014 trip self-identified as right-leaning politically, attaching labels to themselves including "conservative," "right-wing Republican," "libertarian," and "conserv-atarian."

But since President Trump took office in 2016, prepping has taken a dive nationwide. There are fewer prepper conventions held across the US, and several prepper business owners who spoke with Business Insider (as well as Mills), say the prepping community is not as active as it was three years ago. It's an indication of how Trump relieves many of the worst fears of his voters, including conservative preppers.
Now that Trump may not be reelected, the preppers are going strong again.
