I was raised a witness but because of things that happened in the past I am undecided as to whether I want to stay in the organization. I still feel a great connection with witnesses but am unsure if they are still my path in life.

Check out your sister in the faith in the WWII thread.

I suppose the question to ask yourself is this: Are the Jehovah's Witnesses Jesus' path in life. Do you believe Jesus is alive? I do. Some people think he will come back in the flesh to eat potatoes but I do not believe it.

I guess I don't understand you meaning about Jesus being alive. I believe he is at the right hand of god. Could you explain what you mean please?

Alive means able to accomplish something. True? The Jehovah's Witnesses believe they are accomplishing something. True? The JWs are alive accomplishing something. Is Jesus alive accomplishing something also?

John 5:21
For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.

When The Father raised up Jesus from the dead God "gave him life". Having life means alive. Right?

For me, it depends just how much garlic is used. My uncle has a recipe that calls for 10 cloves of fresh garlic (minced) to be added to mashed potatoes. Frankly, I hated that, as it was way, Way, WAY overkill. But with a smaller amount of garlic and blue cheese (topped up with finely sliced green onion)... ...heaven on earth.

Blue cheese! Thank you. I will try it.

If your uncle did not cook the garlic and added it after the potatoes were cooked I can imagine it would be awful. I cook the garlic with the potatoes. Four medium potatoes. One or two cloves of garlic. I have a garlic press.

He is an excellent cook and the garlic is added just as you would. It was more a mashed garlic with potatoes... o_O

Was the First World War Foretold in the Bible? Is the name of it. It is under the heading of General Religious Debates.

Something good to know about how this place works is you are able to go to the "last read post" by clicking the arrow on the left of the thread title. :)

Friend savagewind,

Ever have garlic mashed pototoes?
Make it hot friend; add chilly flakes to it.
Even the Zen master would approve and utter: Hmmm!

Friend disciple,

Its not everyday but its common, called 'ALOO ka CHOKA' in hindi and goes well with rotis.
Another one is 'BAIGAN ka BHARTA' or Brinjal mashed. Brijal is burnt and skinned and then friend with onions, garlic, chillies with a dash of turmeric and salt to taste. Again great with rotis.

Drop by sometime. Will cook for you!
