Actually I think December 24 is called Jul, not Christmas. They just happen to be on a same day and some call the day Jul and some call it Christmas.I am from Norway. In Norway christmas is called Jul
That's true. In Roman times they had a holiday called Saturnalia that was observed in December. The Christians took advantage of this and appropriated it for celebrating the birth of Jesus.Well since the name for christmas in norway, sweden and danmark is jul then it is proof that christmas has pegan roots
