Evidence For And Against Evolution

The evidence should show that nothing comes about by itself. Even when things (cells) change, there is always a motivating factor by nature, or physics or chemicals. As it is said, "nothing comes from nothing." I'm not against science. For instance, using a simple illustration, Thomas Edison helped figure out the electric lightbulb. I like to have light at night in my house. I drive a car and while I appreciate the mechanics, I also hope I don't hurt anyone. So to understand God one must recognize that He is beyond figuring out, but we can understand upon observation, how best to grow an olive tree. That is an illustration. He allows us to see Him by means of the things around us in nature and by His word the Bible.
Only creationists claim that science says life came from nothing. It is not a claim by scientists nor part of science. It is a creationist straw man.

The problem with speciation is that birds usually remain birds, and plants remain plants, don't they? when speciation is considered. And yes, you're right, it is virtually impossible to observe speciation in large, complex organisms as if they are changing into a rather different organism. Such as from dinosaurs to birds.
The it is still puppies objection to evolution.

But there is evidence that speciation took place and some of It is in real time. Speciation has been observed.

I don't see the genetic evidence, and by that I mean in any articles I have read about comparisons. I have read that 98-99% of the DNA are repeated in humans from chimpanzees and others, but what's to say evolution did that, even if it seems convenient to say that. If I see a building of two stories, and then see a similar building but of three stories, why would I assume the second building evolved from the first, if you get my point. Although we know that buildings don't evolve, they need a builder. But if I didn't see who built them, most people wouldn't figure that they built themselves.
Who would think that buildings built themse!ves? Seriously?

Plant denotes an entire domain of life with tens of thousands of species. No one would expect the evolution of plants to suddenly produce something not a plant.

Given the level of understanding I have seen with you and other creationists, I can only conclude you do not know enough science and evidence of natural history to render any judgement for or against science.

Such events leave evidence that can be examined in the present.
This is how we know that little over 10.000 years ago, there was a giant glacier moving over what is now New York city.

This is also how we know the biblical flood never happened. Because there is no evidence for it.
We don't have the equivalent of the evidence that shows NYC was carved out by a glacier, to show that the biblical flood occured.

This means that it never happened.

Don't you understand that big events that change geographics, leave evidence that can be examined in the present?

How exactly do you think it is that we have found out about the meteor that took out the Dino's, the ice ages, ancient seas, etc?
Something must have taken the dinosaurs out. But how do you know it wasn't God that caused these things?

Too bad that you put me on ignore. I tried to help you. We know the cause of the end of the nonavian dinosaurs. Technically birds are dinosaurs so not all of them died out. It was a rather large asteroid that landed off the coast of the Yucatan.
Are you on ignore too? I speculate that I got there for questioning his education or asking what his (her?) religion is.

Yes, I think that he did not like it when I pointed out that he was breaking the Ninth Commandment constantly by bearing false witness against scientist. It does not matter if one believes what one says. If one makes false claims about others even when believing one's claims that is breaking the Ninth.

Creationist hate it when you point out the basis of their tactics supporting denial.

Yes, the great apes branched out from a common ancestor and, given enough time, may branch still further into new species. "Enough time" being the operative concept.
As for links, fossil evidence is notoriously rare and difficult to find, but it is accumulating. There will always be gaps, of course, and each new find creates two more gaps.
There is also genetic evidence, though, which is much more robust.

You continually bring up objections to established science, but what alternatives would you propose -- magic poofing?
How do you feel about the following? From Scientific American: "Archaeologists vehemently disagree over the effects changing climate and competition from recently arriving humans had on the Neanderthals' demise." Why do they say "recently arriving humans" vs Neanderthals? Carbon Dating Gets a Reset

Why should I feel anything but good about an improvement in a dating technology? This doesn't upset any of the basic principles of evolution.

Scientists are always debating. That's how science advances. All scientific knowledge is provisional, as new evidenced is uncovered or new tests performed, our understanding grows.

He was. And He motivated men to preserve and compile what He wanted for men to share with one another, sometimes at the risk of their own lives. Satan is very powerful now. Yes, God gave them free reign as well as time. He gave Adam and Eve free reign also.
Is that why there are like, hundreds of different Christian denominations?

I believe that some things can change by mutation, just like some human populations are shorter than others, but that does not mean that is how lions and humans were made. That's right, "for whatever reason," because just like experiments often need an addition to produce change, you and I do not really know what caused the change. But bacteria stay bacteria so far. You think? It's been interesting discussing these things.
Bacteria doesn't have to change into some other creature for evolution to have occurred.

I don't think speciation has been observed for bonobos or chimpanzees evolving to humans.
Chimps and bonobos never evolved into humans and never will. Chimps and bonobos are our cousins, not our direct ancestors.

Seriously, you really should just take a few minutes to peruse some scientific sites and get acquainted with what evolution actually is.
