Evil God

Christians love this god because he has demonstrated unambiguously his love for the whole world. His son fully reveals who the Creator is. I'm as confused as the next guy about God's apparent command to wipe out whole cultures, but we have to admit that, just as we are free to dispose of a colony of rats that are destroying our garden, God is free to destroy a culture that is destroying his creation. I don't suggest that this fully explains things (or justifies them, to use your term), but it's certainly part of it.

Is it love when he say "I'll make you suffer if you don't follow my rules"? He killed innocent people. Is it good? Does he love people?

You think we should love the god who kills us as rats?

That means the god isn't good in our opinion.

I like how people can disregard an entire religion because they can't understand a couple of verses. Did you create this topic because you actually believe the Christian concept of God is evil (proven by a couple of verses you found on the internet vs. the rest of the entire Bible) or because you are looking for an excuse to disregard a religion that, above all, is based on the idea of loving others, above all else?

Let me ask you a question... Have you ever seen the movie Gladiator... or the movie Braveheart... or Lord of the Rings? Why is it that we CHEER and APPLAUD when the hero of a movie goes on a murderous rampage against others? We cheer because it is apparent to us that justice is being served and that the actions of violent behavior are justified.

How then can you be entertained by these movies and at the same time criticize a concept of a God that does the EXACT SAME THING?

Are you seriously trying to compare innocent, defenseless women and children to orcs and invading Englishmen?

Jehovah ordered jews to kill innocent canaan women and children. Why christians love this evil god and justify his cruel business:confused:
You know, as soon as I saw your user name, I had a hunch about what kind of reasoning would come from a boiled brain. You didn't disappoint me. Welcome to RF anyway.

I am not interested in verbiage. It has no sense. I know exactly that god killed innocent people. Did your read the bible?:)

Of course I’m not looking for any excuse to disbelieve. I don’t believe in Christian god (or god of any other religion) on the same reason you don’t believe in Santa Claus or Pink Elephant on the Moon.

Did you applaud when legionaries killed innocent wife and kid? Did you applaud when Walles was executed? So why do you applaud when god kills innocent people?

Not the same. Do you remember from the bible any noble thing god did?

These two sentences contradict themselves

It is a legitimate question. God endorsed murder in the Bible. If you are Christian and you endorse the Bible by association you endorse the murders in the Bible. He is just asking why?

It was a joke... Anyway, god destroyed all animals including little cute kittens without any reason, just for fun maybe. How do you think, does he love them?
Yeah He loves them. According to my Church's beliefs, they'll be resurrected right along with us people. And I'm glad, 'cause if I couldn't have my animals in Heaven, I'd want to be where they were.

I find the legitimacy of a question to be in direct relation to the tenor of the question. These questions, as the one in the OP, are asked in a directly loaded manner. If Christians respond then they are taking on the assumption that there God is evil.

A more practical point of discussion is to merely ask how Christians view those parts of the Bible in which God orders his people to such conduct. But doing so is usually beyond the purview of those with a simplistic agenda of just trying to paint modern Christians as wrong from one narrowly construed point of view.

I personally find the OP to be garbage and cannot fault those who believe in God from responding directly to it.

Besides, gnostic has already formed a question on this issue already well suited for a proper discussion.

Come on, don't be a verbalist. There is no contradiction.
I am not one to play semantics , however I really believe you should go back and read your post! You can not on one hand say that God doesnt exist, then on the next say that He killed innocent people.
Please just clarify were you stand, otherwise there can be no meaningful discussion
