I don't believe in ghosts or spirits really, other than that they may be sort of an "echo" left behind by an event or person. As echos fade, so will they.
So I don't believe in exorcisms, or at least I don't believe in demonical possession, all demons that exist are purely human.
A priest could help.. if the person being "possessed" is christian. All a matter of what they believe. Psychosomatic. If they believe the demon is exorcised, it might help.

Definitely. Look at all the people who mess up their whole lives because of not being able to let go of someone or something.
I suppose there are other types of witch doctors or other similar whackjobs who claim to exorcise spirits and demons as well.

However, if YOU believe it can, it can trigger you to summon one subconsciously.

Are you seriously basing your worldview on a horror flick?
I think it is more the movie reflecting the worldview.
I believe that there are demonic possessions and that a priest is the best choice for exorcism.
edit: A thing to note is that candidates for an exorcism must visit physicians to rule out psychological disorders and physical ailments.

I've seen a possession, the person believed in demons.. but it was like an alter ego or personallity.. his face muscles and voice also changed, so.. dispite Hollywood some things really do exist.. not sure about the demons or ghost part though... Imo.

Admittedly I'm not a psychologist, although I've taken several classes (as I'm sure most of us have); that said, as far as I know, it is not really possible to 'rule out' a psychological disorder. If it has obvious neurological components, problems with neurotransmitters etc, then you can test for it. But diagnosis in psychology is still largely based on behavioral patterns; we still know too little about the CNS and specifically brain function to make definitive statements *despite* behavior.

The Ouija board is merely a divination tool. The tool by itself has no powers. It is the people using it which are using their energy to reach out. The board is merely the means of communication. Think of it like a telephone. The phone cannot make a call by itself nor does it do anything but serve as a communication device. The Ouija is the same way. A person makes the call. A person initiates a conversation. The person is necessary. The tool may vary.
Oh, and to address the issue of "evil" or whatnot. We are spirits. Spirits are us. Those who are on the other side are no different than us, they just don't have physical bodies as we do. Not everyone you meet in this physical world is evil, so it is absurd to think all the spirits on the other side of the veil are evil. But I'm sure you already know that.

I'm not sure about spirits possessing the body, I don't think that they are powerful enough to do that, but demons on the other hand, they are more powerful than spirits, and the reasons that they do want to possess a human body is to take control over it, to do evil things.

Here's a question. If demon possession is real, why don't they possess powerful politicians and manipulate world governments instead of possessing random, backwater farm girls and making them flop around on beds? Why squander influence and opportunity instead of attempting to maximize impact?

I have met a young Women whilst training for voluntary work i do,She doesn't talk,She laughs like Regan from the Exorcist,has an ear piercing scream,apparently eats her own faeces and anything else She can get hold of,She is Autstic with multiple mental issues.
I just wonder what a Priest would do to her and what they used to do to people of her ilk in the past,scary really.

Possession is definitely real, I've encountered one case myself. The problem is that it's rare and vastly oversimplified in movies. It's not like a spirit or demon just hops in your body for a test drive.
On top of that, most cases of "possession" truthfully are a mental condition that get misunderstood.
I agree, from personal and untestable experience, that possession is real. However the danger is that far too many people jump to possession instead of a doctor. This is especially common, I've found, with fundamental religious communities and many younger Pagans that play games to make themselves feel more important or more powerful than they really are.

The dangerous thing is that demons are the only non-corporeal entity that can actually cause bodily harm / kill you.
Eh, that's debatable. And it also has a lot to do with semantics and what you would view to be a "demon"
Different faiths have a differing take on things. However once again in my experience, totally untestable and therefore it's only opinion like everyone else, there are many spirits or entities that can potentially cause physical harm, but encountering such entities is rare anyway.
