Viraja

Jaya Jagannatha!
Hello,

Please post pictures of magnificent buildings on the planet here - churches, temples, political structures, arenas, etc.. also indicating where they are situated.

Thanks.

It's now long gone, but Waterman Gymnasium was a wonderful place & building.

so many wonderfull buildings but here in UK some wonderfull temples have appeared
images
swami narayan mandir in neasden north london .
at the time it was built it was the largest temple outside of india .

shri sanatan hindu mandir at alperton north west london is now open although the grounds and parimiter walls are still being finished . it is so so beautifull I visited earlier this week for the first time I have taken some photos but not down loaded them yet , both temples are traditional construction , both beautifully carved and beautifully fitted out inside .

but most wonderfull because they fullfill such an important function for hindus here in the UK

I was at the mandir in north London. Nice stones and interesting building techniques... it's a shame there is an excessive use of cheesy colorful posters of Hindu gods and mythological scenes though, doesn't go well with all the effort put into building the temple.

Although the BAPS temples are nice for today, the ancient ones of granite are much more impressive... note the above is just one hallway,

edit ... couldn't get the picture ... search om Rameswaram hallways
