Rumor has it Michael streched the truth (lied) 59 times in the first one. Makes you wonder what he has to say in the second.

In front of God and everyone one I am going to promise to watch it. Soon!

I saw it and it had two things that I really liked about it

1) it had a personal touch to it. He spent a lot of time in the movie talking to soilders in the war zone and talking to a woman who child died over there. He went into Iraq at times and filmed. He spoke with politicians

2) He did his homework on bush and tracked how Bush makes money. He than offered it as a motive for bushes actions.

it was kind of an extreme when he badgered members of congress to send thier hcildren to war. i mean, its the childs choice. i dont know... it is kinda backward.

And y'know, oddly enough, they didn't seem eager to send their own children to war. :sarcastic Even those who are more than happy to send other peoples' children to die.

It is the childs' choice, but those who choose it as an alternative to poverty are rather different than those who choose it based on that which they believe.

I honor those who fight, and I don't pretend to be educated enough on the subject to say that I know whether or not our country was 'right' in going to war. But I will say that the images in the film are what most of us are not seeing on the evening news, and that brings an immeadiacy to these events that is lacking when all one sees are the photogenic parts of the news.

Please remember that these children that we are talking about signed up to be in the military on their own. It was the life they chose freely. They wanted to be in the military. Now if they were there just to get an education and not think they would ever go to war then, in my opinion, they were gravely mistaken and gambled poorly. The military is not a free ride to college. If you don’t want to fight don’t join.

I thought it was excellent. Here in the UK it got such a big reaction. Basically, I don't think I've met anyone here who likes George W. Bush, and the standing ovation at the end of all of the showings (four at the cinema) I saw of this film kinda highlights that. I though it was exellent film. Michael moore didn't take the **** out of Bush, he simply let Bush take the **** out of himself. George Bush - eliminating the need for satirists for over four years!

i thank the military for fighting for us. even though i do not believe in the cause, and personally because im a pacafist, i would never fight for a country or swear my alligence because one day, they may turn thier back on me. well, thats what they are doing in the situtation of gay marriage. why should i bother? aiya!

I agree. I think that it is quite evident that Michael Moore has a sincere respect for American soldiers and American values. He also has a soft spot for his hometown.

Part of me despises the film, and part of me grudgingly accepts that it's needed right now. We need something to combat the BS spewed by the hate machines known as Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly.

Look for the "opposition" to begin the "social message in a film" ploy. Or was that started in the "Passion"

pah-- I'm just not sure how you can compare the message behind the Passion and the message behind F9/11.

I'm not comparing the message. In this case, I'm saying that the medium conveys a message of social importance whatever it's value and suggesting that the Passion had such a message as well as Fahrenheit 911.
