Fairly Unusual Things About You

Why do you dislike the term edm?

I'd never heard the term until the mid-2000s and am prejudiced against people rebranding my youth :D To me it seems like a corporate rebranding of related musical genres to make them more acceptable to the mainstream. As far as I'm aware, it is never used anywhere outside of America.

It also makes about as much sense as calling everything from country & western to death metal 'guitar music'.

These things aren't so unusual in real life, but around here they are.....
I had a prolific serial killer work for me.
I know the Super Chicken theme song by heart.
I can't sit thru an entire eye exam...me peepers refuse.
I was once part of the military industrial complex (aviation).
I know the guy who headed research for Reagan's Star Wars.
I supply museums & exhibitors with antique engines & machine tools.
I can make my massive pectorals hop around in tune to the national anthem.
I once designed surgical tools at Black & Decker, but I'm creeped out by seeing blood.
I am one of Americastan's few semi-experts in an obscure British operating system (BOS).
I can stretch the skin on my neck to look like a cobra....& have trained others in this arcane talent.
I sometimes make designs with my posts....notice how this one has consistently increasing line length?

I'd forgotten about this one, which really sets me apart from the hoi polloi....
I actually sprained my thumb while hitchhiking.

It was back in school, & I was doing a lot of weightlifting.
I'd sprained both thumbs bench pressing...sort of a repetitive
stress injury, allowing my thumbs to come out of joint at times.
While out hitching for a ride, I extended my right thumb too far.
Kerplunk...out it came. It wasn't fun working it back into place.
That's gotta be rarer than 1 in a million, eh.

I almost always rate an 800 plus credit score. Is that fairly unusual?
Pshaw....even I am above 800.
Oddly, a few years back when I had all my commercial properties in foreclosure,
& I was talking with a bankruptcy attorney, my score was still over 800.
How, you ask? The loans were in the names of LLCs (limited liability companies).
Thank Zeus for those!

I did check the facts before I posted it. This is what I found.

"Earning a credit score of 800 or higher will put you well within the ranks of the credit elite. No one else will receive a better loan than you, and no one will pay lower interest rates."

I do not know yet for sure why the X wants to be an X.

Congrats on the 800+ score, btw.
Since we're elite, let's have some....

Having credit (eg, loans, cards) & avoiding late payments is key.
Yes. I had a lot of fun with a late payment this year. I sent a check in time if there had been no hurricane that week. It didn't get there in time and appeared to be lost. So, I did the internet thing which is to pay on line and I called them. So, I said, maybe I forgot to put a stamp on it. I made the transfer and the very, very nice lady said she would remove the obscene charge and she did. Then, the check actually did get there. (I didn't forget the stamp and I didn't really believe I did). So, that month I paid twice which was kinda nice the NEXT month.

The personal touch never hurts.
