That which changes, which is not constant, which does not appeal, is Maya. That which changes every moment and that which you can measure is Maya. That which you cannot measure, which does not change is truth. ~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Knowing that everything is changing stabilizes you. When you are established in this truth, such a smile blossoms from within you that can never fade, cannot be robbed. ~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Change is constant. But change is recognized by something that is constant! Focus on the unchanging aspect in you. That is the game-changer! ~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Taking your attention to that in you which doesn't change brings enormous stability in life. Yet, it is often not clear what that something is. Exploring that 'something ' is spirituality. ~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

To be conscious means to become aware of the truth of one’s nature and to live with the light and the force of that truth.

To be unconscious means to be ignorant of the realities that make one’s true nature, to be a mere tool driven and utilised by the forces of Untruth.
~ Nolini Kanta Gupta

You are always an instrument, a mere tool, so long as you are in the unconsciousness.
It is when you are conscious that you become an agent.

As long as you are unconscious, you are mostly an instrument in the hands of the Dark Forces.
When you become conscious, you are an agent who can act for, and act with, and act as, the gods.
~Nolini Kanta Gupta

Desire is the memory of pleasure and fear is the memory of pain. Both make the mind restless. ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

“We shall suffer as long as our thoughts and actions are prompted by desires and fears.” ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj,

“Each pleasure is wrapped in pain. You soon discover that you cannot have one without the other … Real happiness is not vulnerable, because it does not depend on circumstances … Real happiness flows from within.” ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

“If you have contact with pure consciousness even for a moment, you are liberated.” ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

“All happiness comes from awareness. The more we are conscious, the deeper the joy. Acceptance of pain, non-resistance, courage and endurance -- these open deep and perennial sources of real happiness, true bliss.” ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

I would say both Lila and Maya are states of perception from varying levels of consciousness. Knowledge will be different at different levels of consciousness. ~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

‘According to the purity of the mind the same teaching reflects in different ways’. ~ Ramana Maharshi

Once you are more Conscious, clarity and success will naturally be yours. ~ Sadhguru

Clarity is a consequence of handling your confusion consciously. ~ Sadhguru

When you are deluded and confused, meditate for some time. You will find clarity dawning instantaneously. - Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

If we want humanity to enjoy the fruits of science and technology rather than using them to destroy the entire planet, the most important thing that needs to be done right now is raising human consciousness. ~ Sadhguru

Once you live a compulsive life, you are living the life of a slave.

It is our compulsive reaction to the situations in which we are placed that causes stress.

Depression is a kind of agony. If you have become agony and not ecstasy, it is because a large part of your life energy is happening compulsively, not consciously. It is happening as a reaction to external situations.

The problem is not our intelligence but our unconscious, compulsive behavior. It is time we create a Conscious Planet.

If you want to break any cycles of compulsion, you need Intense Attention.

When you are in a great hurry to do something, just hold back a few seconds, that’s all it takes to shift from compulsiveness to consciousness.

Once you go beyond the compulsive, cyclical nature of existence, life becomes spectacular. ~ Sadhguru

The world is known by the senses
The senses are known by the mind
The mind is known by Consciousness
And Consciousness is known by itself. ~Rupert Spira

Whatever the content of experience, I know or am aware of it. Thus, knowing or being aware is the essential element in all knowledge, the common factor in all experience. Only that which is always with you can be said to be your Self and if you look closely and simply at experience, only awareness is always 'with you'. ~ Rupert Spira

However, love, peace and happiness are inherent in the knowing of our own Being. In fact, they are the knowing of Being. They are simply other names for our Self. ~ Rupert Spira

“Seeking happiness in objective experience is the activity that defines the apparently separate self.” ~ Rupert Spira

Cease being exclusively fascinated by whatever you are aware of and be interested instead in the experience of being aware itself.” ~ Rupert Spira

“When the Indian sage Atmananda Krishna Menon was asked how to know when one is established in one’s true nature, he is said to have replied, ‘When thoughts, feelings, sensations and perceptions can no longer take you away’.” ~ Rupert Spira,

“What remains when we have let go of all thoughts, images, memories, feelings, sensations, perceptions, activities and relationships? Our Self alone remains: not an enlightened, higher, spiritual, special self or a self that we have become through effort, practice or discipline, but just the essential Self or Being that we always and already are before it is coloured by experience.” ~ Rupert Spira

Suffering ensues when we allow awareness of objects to eclipse awareness of Being. Happiness is revealed when we allow awareness of Being to outshine awareness of objects.” ~ Rupert Spira,

“Happiness is our very nature and lies at the source of the mind, or the heart of ourself, in all conditions and under all circumstances. It cannot be acquired; it can only be revealed.” ~ Rupert Spira, Being Aware of Being Aware

“Just as the clouds are the veiling of the blue sky, so unhappiness is the veiling of happiness.” ~ Rupert Spira

Peace and happiness are not objective experiences that the mind has from time to time; they are the very nature of the mind itself. Happiness is our essential nature, apparently obscured or eclipsed much of the time by the clamour of objective experience but never completely extinguished by it. ~ Rupert Spira

“Thinking cannot itself go to the heart of experience; it can only go to an imaginary past or future.” ~ Rupert Spira

The past is made of memory, the future of imagination. Neither have any existence outside the thought that thinks them. ~ Rupert Spira

A quiet mind does not mean that there will be no thoughts or mental movements at all, but that these will be on the surface, and you will feel your true being within, separate from them, observing but not carried away. ~ Aurobindo

Being fully conscious of one’s whole process of thinking, and being able to go beyond that process, is awareness. ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti

Happiness is not a state that can be sustained by external circumstances. It is an inner quality that can be cultivated through mindfulness and self-awareness. ~ Sadhguru

Consciousness is your natural state of being. You only lose it by identifying with your thoughts, emotions, and body. ~ Sadhguru

“The mind in its natural state can be compared to the sky, covered by layers of cloud which hide its true nature.” – Kalu Rinpoche.

Take no notice of the ego and its activities, but see on the light behind. The ego is the thought “I”. The true “I” is the Self. ~ Ramana Maharshi

“The moment you become aware of the ego in you, it is strictly speaking no longer the ego, but just an old, conditioned mind-pattern. Ego implies unawareness. Awareness and ego cannot coexist.” ~ Eckhart Tolle

For the ego to be recognized, the awareness needs to have awakened. Then you can observe yourself. The witness, the observing presence needs to be there. Once that's there, you can recognize negativity, and then you'll know that's the ego. ~ Eckhart Tolle

Banishing the ego allows the true Self to shine forth. Divine realization is impossible to explain, because nothing else can be compared to it. ~ Yogananda

You cannot suffer the past or future because they don't exist. What you are suffering is your memory and your imagination. ~ Sadhguru

A wise man knows that happiness is real, as it is one's very nature. Unhappiness is unreal as it is inflicted by memory. ~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

“We suffer more in our imagination more often than in reality.” ~ Seneca

Past and future only exist in your memory and your imagination. The only thing that you experience is what is right now. ~ Sadhguru

A truly intelligent mind is neither influenced by memory nor deluded by imagination. ~ Sadhguru

When we are with consciousness we are with MAA.

When we are with mind, we are with MAYA

The difference between Maa & Maya may only be one letter, but the significance is very different for our spiritual lives. ~ Sri Guru Karunamaya

What we call sin is nothing but the solidification, the condensation of wrong actions continuing for a long time; and punya, or merit, is the condensation of good actions that we have performed.

To repeat once again what I said, a good action is that tendency in our consciousness which moves in the direction of larger and larger dimensions of itself, and a sin is a contraction of consciousness which moves more and more in the direction of the physical body; and the worst sin is to have consciousness lodged in the body itself, and think that one is only the body. -- Swami Krishnananda

In every moment you have only one real choice : to be self-aware or to identify with the mind and body. - Annamalai Swami

Body-consciousness is the source of all misery. - Ramana Maharshi
