It destroys everyone in it. Siege explosions(from artillary) also fall in this criteria. Suicidial bombing falls in this criteria. And it is not recommended by any religion, it is hated. That is terrorism; not Islam. In Islamic wars(which was basically defensive and fought for own existence) near 710AD, innocent peoples are not harmed, not event trees and animal. They fought with people with arms only.

Similarly, who or which group is terrorizing should be blamed and not their religion. This is the main thing of confusion that may surround you. When one starts to kill innocent people he starts to follow "Satan", which is prohibited in Islam (I have already mentioned verses of Al-Quran in my comments above). The world is however we chose to make it. A deity is irrelevant to any of that, or much of anything at all. I know enough about your "holy book" to know that I'm not interested in what is just yet another program to enslave Spiritual beings. I'm not interested in being in submission to anything. Rather, I am interested in liberation of my Self. I do not need any being to command me to do what is right. As an eternal Spirit with all-power, all-knowledge and all-potential within me, I know what is right already, even if it may be latent and so I need to remember it.

As for tests, the only tests are those which I have created for myself in order to learn (remember, really).

What happened to Paris is a very sad incident which might be done by IS. IS claims to be Islamic but is actually not. The name IS contain Islam does not mean that they are following Allah.
