This movie was hysterical! My university was going to do a showing at the university pub but it was cancelled for being "racist". Obviously those who made such a suggestion had never seen the movie. The aborigines came off looking ok. After all, they could claim innocent ignorance for their actions. The white people, however, were portrayed as idiots. I almost killed myself laughing when the guy winched his land rover up into a tree! :biglaugh:

I have so many...depends on my mood.

I love musicals - Fiddler on the Roof, 1776, Chicago (just to name a few)

Like Water For Chocolate
Color Purple
The Godfather (all of them)
Indiana Jones (all of them but I like the original best)
Ghandi
Shawshank Redemption

I'm sure there are more, but these are my top favorites.

Labyrinth
Amelie
Before Sunrise
Three Coleurs Trilogy
Carrie
Circle of Friends
Poltergiest
Sixth Sense
Peggy Sue Got Married
Lolita - new version only, sick plot, great photography
Willy Wonka -Gene's version only
Pride and Prejudice - with Colin Firth
Wuthering Heights - with Laurence Olivier
Matchstick Men
The Exorcist - when it's edited for t.v.! It actually has a good message. (Like number 2 as well, but not 3)

I like pretty much any movie where there is a lot of good dancing and/or poetry and the acting doesn't kill it.

Oh yes, Alfred Hitchcock! Definately. I liked Rear Window the best I think, though Psycho was pretty freaky.
Those are both good movies, but I like, "The Birds", and, "North By Northwest", the best.

All the Star Wars
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Matrix Trilogy
Indiana Jones Trilogy

Evil Dead Trilogy
Cursed
The Last Temptation of Christ
Lord of the Rings
Underworld (Sure it wasn't a cinamatic masterpiece, but I was highly entertained)
Hannibal Trilogy
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
Appleseed

There are a lot more, but I think I'll stop there.

When I used to work at a movie theatre we would watch all the movies before they opened:D. Fun fun. I saw a lot of not-so-good movies, so I'm a tough critic who doesn't like many. I especially can't stand a movie in which I can guess what's coming next. Anyway....I narrowed my list to 2.

Stargate - never got into the series...maybe when it comes out on DVD
The Matrix - The first one ONLY. The next 2 just didn't 'pop' for me like the first one.

Stargate (deffo!)
Lord of the Rings
Star Wars Movies
Ring (the Japanese version, not "THE Ring", hollywood's lame answer to a Japanese masterpiece)
The Eye (Cool Chinese horror movie)
Spaceballs
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
Dracula: Dead and Loving It
Hot Shots Part Deux
SAW
Scream (the first one)
Scary Movie (all of them)
Austin Powers (all of them)
The Blair Witch Project (strictly only the first one. someone should be burned at the stake for the second one)
The Bogus Witch Project (haha)
Mr and Mrs Smith

Worse Films Ever made:

War of the Worlds (it's absolutely crap, no plot, nothing interesting happens, H.G Wells probably wants to come back to life so he can kill himself over it. Or maybe go back in time to burn the book so this terrible film would never be made)

The Ring - Hollywood butchered this absolute classic movie. So many things wrong with it, the cheesy voice effect down the phone, and you see the girls face after she crawls out fo the tv! no! It's supposed to be just the scary eye! crap cast, crap script, crap....movie!

Master and Commander - What the hell was Russel Crowe thinking after the splendour of Gladiator? This was crap, I waited for so long for something interesting to happen

Gangs of New York - It's way too long and has a crap ending

The Godfather Movies - Why do people like these movies? They're incredibly boring and frankly over-rated. I think it's just a group of movies that people say are so great, just for the hell of it - a bunch of wanky critics gave it the thumbs up and so people just say it's a classic so it looks like they have good taste. I'm not afraid to say those movies were bollocks
