Knipex (German brand) makes some of my
favorite wrenches & pliers. They're spendy,
but a real joy to use.

Those look really sturdy. There's nothing like quality tools.
Nothing I would buy for myself though, unless I got lucky and found them at a garage sale or thrift store. I keep all my tools on my bike so I tend to loose them pretty quick: spur of the moment repairs in unexpected places and whatnot.
So these days I usually settle for Dollar store tools. They're usually good to last for enough uses to make them cost effective against quality tools that I'll probably wind up losing. :p

Thrift stores as are much entertainment as they are necessity for me: sometimes Ill find something I need for a 10th what I would have paid new and I walk away thinking, "Damn! I just saved $$$-dollars by waiting and searching"

Other times I'll force myself not to buy half a dozen things I want but don't really need and Ill walk away thinking, "Damn!! I just saved myself $$$$$$-dollars by excercising a little self-discipline!!!.

Can't really lose this game.

I find all kinds of things I didn't know I wanted but life wouldn't be complete without...

I found a golden cow with Egyptian hieroglyphs. How did I ever do without it?

Does it begin with a T?

Maaaaybe. :)

I can relate. There was a time I'd go to a flea market, garage sale, or thrift store and see something and I'd be like, "I don't know what the hell that thing is but I know I don't have one so I better get it ".

As you can imagine, my pile of stuff that I bought and never used got pretty ridiculous pretty quick.
