Does anyone remember "Freakies" from Purina (there is something not right about a pet food company that puts out cereal) or Quisp from Quaker. Also, does anyone remember the name of the cowboy and orange kangaroo that were Quisp's friends. They had their own cereals too.

Whatever happened to prizes? Why don't they put cool prizes in cereal boxes anymore? Now they put stickers and coupons. I don't want stickers, I want the toy submarine that you have to put baking soda in to make it perform.

We are the freakies ,we are the freakies
We live in our freaky tree
We never miss a meal ,oh no
Cause we love our cereal

This has been stuck in my head for about 30 years.

And, I still have one of those subs packed away somewhere. It has a little white tube on the bottom to keep it from tipping over.:D
