Favourite Scripture quotes?

"Beautified for mankind is love of the joys that come from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded with their mark, and cattle and land. That is comfort of the life of the world. God! With Him is a more excellent abode.

Say: Shall I inform you of something better than that? For those who keep from evil, with their Lord, are Gardens underneath which rivers flow wherein they will abide, and pure companions, and contentment from God. God is Seer of His bondmen.
"

-- Qur'an 3:14-15

"Whenever a nation comes under a new form of government, the heroes of the past become villains of the present. So it is with religion. The earliest Christians believed that the Pagan deities were devils, and to employ them was to use “black magic.” Miraculous heavenly events they termed “white magic”; this was the sole distinction between the two. The old gods did not die, they fell into Hell and became devils."
The Satanic Bible-The Book of Lucifer

"O friends! Be not careless of the virtues with which ye have been endowed, neither be neglectful of your high destiny. Suffer not your labors to be wasted through the vain imaginations which certain hearts have devised. Ye are the stars of the heaven of understanding, the breeze that stirreth at the break of day, the soft-flowing waters upon which must depend the very life of all men, the letters inscribed upon His sacred scroll. With the utmost unity, and in a spirit of perfect fellowship, exert yourselves, that ye may be enabled to achieve that which beseemeth this Day of God."

-- Baha'u'llah

"The Great Being saith: O ye children of men! The fundamental purpose animating the Faith of God and His Religion is to safeguard the interests and promote the unity of the human race, and to foster the spirit of love and fellowship amongst men. Suffer it not to become a source of dissension and discord, of hate and enmity. This is the straight Path, the fixed and immovable foundation. Whatsoever is raised on this foundation, the changes and chances of the world can never impair its strength, nor will the revolution of countless centuries undermine its structure. Our hope is that the world's religious leaders and the rulers thereof will unitedly arise for the reformation of this age and the rehabilitation of its fortunes. Let them, after meditating on its needs, take counsel together and, through anxious and full deliberation, administer to a diseased and sorely-afflicted world the remedy it requireth...."

-- Baha'u'llah

"God is nameless for no man can either say or deny anything about Him. Therefore do not prate about God, for when thou pratest about God, thou liest."

-- Meister Eckhart

What is there to believe, but in Self? And Self is the negation of
completeness as reality. No man has seen self at any time. We are what
we believe and what it implies by a process of time in the conception;
creation is caused by this bondage to formula.

"Common to the various systems/traditions/paradigms of Magick are certain key concepts. We urge the
reader not to accept/reject these as theoretical constructs, but to try and verify them by personal experience.
1. The Whole is encoded within each of its constituents - "As above, so below."
2. The Whole is interconnected, and all relative wholes partake in consciousness to varying degrees.
3. The Whole is self-organizing, and the evolution of all forms is governed by similar principles.
4. By means of a trained and directed will, we can effect change (probability > possibility) at various
levels of organization.
5. Change is the only constant!
6. The Whole is more than the sum of its parts
7. Our beliefs define the limits of our allowed experience
8. "Everyday Reality" is not the limit of our experience - by entering Altered States of Consciousness we
can experience other realities.
9. The entities which may be encountered during our experience of those other realities are real within
their own world. To question their relative existence is unimportant, since the universe behaves as if they do
exist.
10. Magical ability is engendered through an inward, transformative journey."

"Every man's highest, nameless though it may be, is his living God, while, oftener than we can tell, the being, of whom he hears at church is his dead God."

"What manner of godliness this?
To demand submission without condition,
To subordinate power to an half-pint upstart,
To dictate on high a slavery complete,
Without knowing and testing the authority thereof?
Wherefore is the sense in you celestial invaders,
That you submit your necks
And choose to bend the supple knee?"

THE GOSPEL OF SATAN-by Reverend Bo-Bo

"Do not speak of God much. After a very little conversation on the highest nature, thought deserts us and we run into formalism."

"1. The jnana (Gnosis) alone is eternal; it is without beginning or end; there exists no other real substance.
Diversities which we see in the world are results of sense-conditions; when the latter cease, then this Jnana
alone, and nothing else, remains."

Shiva Samhita

"The likeness of those who spend their wealth in Allah's way is as the likeness of a grain which groweth seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains. Allah giveth increase manifold to whom He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing."

-- Qur'an 2:261

"Know you not your true heritage?
Be ye instructed therefore.
We were self-begot, self-raised,
Our puissance is our own,
Our own right hand
Shall teach us of the best deeds.
By proof try who is our equal!"
The Gospel of Satan-Rev. Bo-bo

"Say: O God! Owner of Sovereignty! Thou givest sovereignty unto whom Thou wilt, and Thou withdrawest sovereignty from whom Thou wilt. Thou exaltest whom Thou wilt, and Thou abasest whom Thou wilt. In Thy hand is the good. Lo! Thou art Able to do all things.

Thou causest the night to pass into the day, and Thou causest the day to pass into the night. And Thou bringest forth the living from the dead, and Thou bringest forth the dead from the living. And Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou choosest, without stint."

Beginning to Understand
By Xophier
I hold in my hand all but nothing
For all I know to be true rests within my heart
Not within tomes of obscure riddles
Or sun baked men who ponder eternity
When the world tries to engulf me
I feel not a hand pulling
But rather one who pushes into the deluge
So I must make my stand
How do I describe the magnificent monsters of a child’s
night terror
When unveiled and shown truth
Not many stand to ancient fears
But I am glad I had
Feelings like being rocked by the ocean
Shown by experiencing self flaws and faults
Understanding as well we are only human
And show us to push that title
Remembering when I took that stand on such a narrow cliff
Instead of walking where so many felt safe
I took the path and was cast aside for such
I thought about the past, but my pride would not let it cloud
While my legs could no longer carry me and my knees
buckled
I knew I had done something, at least for me the world
stopped for the second
Before I felt alone, I felt renewed as my legs began to move
At that time I thought for a second I heard a voice
The whistle of the wind through the trees
The lull of the mystical ocean
The crackle of fire
The nagging of the cicada?
And with time I know
That those sounds will be prophetic
To my pen and paper scribe
But now, I must understand myself
As I do this not so small task
But I have divine guidance
To understand myself
To understand, Satan
