Feminist Blogs

Recently, I've been looking for feminist blogs to follow and read on a regular basis, and I'm interested in finding out about more feminist bloggers to familiarize myself with their writings.

Does anyone here follow any feminism-focused blogs regularly? And if so, which one or ones are your favorites?

Here are some of the larger or more notable feminist blogs:

Jezebel. Kind of like a woman's magazine, but for feminists. Celebrities, sex, fashion, etc.

Feministe. One of the oldest and largest feminist blogs. Multiple contributors. And some of the best writers in feminist blogging. If you've got a blog to promote, "shameless self promotion Sunday" is a feature on Feministe where you can promote it. Guest bloggers accepted.

Feministing. Geared towards young feminist womensfolk. A younger audience than, say, Feministe. Multiple contributors.

Finally, a Feminism 101 Blog. Basic feminist theory. Also, cheat sheets on how to respond to anti-feminists. See FAQ.

MediaGirl. Mainly takes on the entertainment and various cultural industries with feminist and progressive critiques.

Skepchick. Geared towards younger audience. Feminism at the junction of skepticism, humanism, and geek culture.

Are Women Human. Written by former Evangelicals. Tends to have a focus on the intersection of feminism and evangelicalism, fundamentalism.

Thanks a lot! I'll make sure to check those out and see if they give me an idea of what a blog should look like.

I was very impressed by manboobz (sorry - linking is a pain on my phone, but google should get the job done.) That guy doesn't mess around. Very sharp.

I read Skepchick occasionally. It's generally pretty good.

If you're interested in podcasts as well, I'd suggest Godless ******* (note: the name can't get through the profanity filter, but you can probably guess what it is or search for "Beth Presswood" in iTunes). It covers either atheism from a feminist perspective or feminism from an atheist perspective... or both. :)

Jezebel, MediaGirl, manboobz and Skepchick are personal favorites of mine, and more often than not I'll check in with Jezebel. But I've recently been looking at Gradient Lair that calls attention to gender, feminism, race, and art from a Jamaican Black woman's POV. GL has been picking up steam with me quickly, personally.

I used to love reclusiveleftist, until Dr. Socks retired from posting a year ago.

I've read Jezebel and Skepchick, but both of those were already mentioned.

I've also read Freethought Blogs, which is a multi-author set of blogs on one site that focuses a lot on secularism, skepticism, feminism, and other areas.
