Fess up, how many members do you have on "Ignore"?

None. Even if someone is completely insulting, I don't put that person on ignore. After all, none of it is ever personal. I don't know who has me on ignore. I think I'd rather not know.
And I would prefer to know. It would save me the trouble of responding to someone who will never read my post. I've even asked management here to include such a feature for that very reason.

I have no one on ignore. I did put one well known member on ignore for about half a day, but the temptation to continue arguing with him was just too great. :D
Tell me about it! What's weird is when a poster puts me on ignore, & then reads posts responding to mine, & addresses those in order to address me. The mistaken inferences multiply, & it actauly becomes amusing.
Btw, I ain't name'n names...."calling out" is agin da rules.

I told everyone that I was going to put them on ignore before I did it. It's more polite that way.

Long ago, out of courtesy, I once informed a poster that I'd no longer respond to posts addressing me. The result was nuclear meltdown. Now I just keeps me mouth shut. Works better.

Ha ha! :D
I have 'clocked' one or two names that have had you on ignore, simply from the context of various posts written by other members ..... remonstrating with them...... does that make sense? ........... :p

I don't know about now, under new governorship, but there was a thread-subject that often got so heated that members outright insulted each other, used names in the 3rd person, wrote the most dreadful things, broke every rule in the book...... but I don't think that anybody could have ever reported any member ....... it was just accepted. You don't have to read through many posts in an HJ thread to see what I mean.

Ain't it surprising how some who should know & observe the rules think they gots some special exemption.
Note: The one rule I thumb me nose at is the prohibition against pix of bare chested men.
Note: I looked up "remonstrate". It has nothing to do with a poster's time of the month.

I do have a weakness for flame wars, but I gave up indulging meself in them when I joined RF. What you see now is just the tip of the iceberg.....the smoldering embers of a once roaring conflagration...the....uh....I'm done now.

7, because they're rude, negative, don't add anything to the discussion and merely want to provoke. Their posts come across as trolling. I don't have time to waste on posts like these and having depression, I'd rather avoid negativity in places that are meant for entertainment, learning and socialising. I deal with enough of it in life, this place is an escape from it.

It's similar to cutting people off in your life, that to me is not censorship, it's simply not wasting time on people who are rude and negative. Censoring, to me, would be trying to get these people banned.
