Fictional Crushes

I don't guess so. Usually when a person has a crush it implies some physical attraction but the fun of the crush is that you know it will never go beyond admiration from afar. I can't imagine how I might react if I actually met Orlando Bloom. :thud:
He's not blonde in real life. However, he isn't Legolas Greenleaf in real life, either.

It's just a physical thing with me. MacGyver is a genius and Legolas is noble but I'm not attracted to either of them in any way that involves the removal of clothing.

Nothing here, even... ?

I don't get the whole Legolas thing, he is too wispy.
He is certainly no Aragorn. Aragorn is another I have a crush on.

Well of course Legolas is pretty whispy, as he doesn't exist at all. Neither does Aragorn, which would make him pretty whispy, as well. They are fictional characters, and hence, fictional crushes. :D

How dare you call Aragorn whispy! Or fictional for that matter! Aragorn is real in my heart.

I always thought Velma was cute, and thought she was super hot as portrayed by Linda Cardellini:

I kind of feel like Velma looses some of her original charm if they purposely pick an actress that looks like a model to play her, and then have her with make-up and perfectly plucked eyebrows throughout the movie, along with substantial cleavage at times. Not every character needs to be a model in live action, imo. Daphne has that covered.

I mean the original Velma was all like:

The illustrators clearly went with two different styles for Daphne and Velma, including lip color for Daphne but not Velma, but in live-action they basically take two actresses that look like Daphne and with make up on, and give one the hairstyle of Velma.

I dunno I'm not exactly a huge Scooby Doo fan so maybe I missed something. o_O

That's probably fair criticism.

I used to watch Scooby Doo regularly when i was young but not exactly a huge fan, and it's been a long time since i saw the movies so i don't remember a lot of details, but i think what you mentioned is at least mostly accurate. They probably betrayed the character on a few aspects in how they presented her, and probably in the pick for which actress to portray her, though i think that at least wasn't necessarily a significant deviation from the character (the actress herself).

In some instances she looked close enough to stay true to the character i think, at least if presented right, and i don't remember how often they had her with significant make up (in contrast to Daphne) and what was the context of the cleavage scenes (probably a silly reason), but she's beautiful in a way i thought fitted the role.

The overall presentation was probably not as true as it could've been to the original character, and that's most likely due to a narrow standard approach to considering what would appeal to the fans (on the creator's end).

I think she was really cute though, with and without make up.

So am I the only one who always preferred Daphne? I always did prefer redheads.

But I didn't think Sarah Michelle Gellar was a good choice for the movie role. With all the actual redheaded actresses out there, Hollywood just keeps picking non-redheads with bad dye jobs (or wigs) to play redheaded comic/cartoon characters in live action versions.

There's the Freddie for whose form I was warm.

Dig the apache tie with the open collar. Yes, I used to wear one. Ah the 70s, where did they go!?

:D

This version of Fred from "Scooby-Doo!: The Mystery Begins," made my manhood tingle! ... Even though his hair was completely wrong!
