Anthropology 101:
Children are no more disturbed or confused by sex and nudity than they are by eating or mowing the lawn. To a small child everything is a perplexing novelty. It's we, the adults, who teach them what to be shocked at; what to feel ashamed or embarassed about.
On the other hand, children observing violence or cruelty seem to be freaked out regardless of culture.
