Please keep in mind that proselytizing is against the forum rules. Even in a thread that asks for help in finding god. You can answer the question without being preachy.

You are the best one to find the true religion because you were not born with a belief in your head. I mean, if were born Hindu, then you would find it difficult to think of changing to other religions. I advise you to read more and more before you decise. The most important thing to start with is that to be on steady gorund of the fact that there is a God. Next, speak to this God and ask Him to guide you to the eternal truth. Use your mind and thinking very well. I leave you for a while to reach something. Then, I think we will have a lot of discussion with each other.

It is good to see someone is trying to finid the God. I may say that your message to the God known by him because He every thing, but you need to read his message to us through his Prophets, and the real true valid Holly book.

[39:18] They are the ones who examine all words, then follow the best. These are the ones whom GOD has guided; these are the ones who possess intelligence.

[17:36] You shall not accept any information, unless you verify it for yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brain, and you are responsible for using them.

My friend, in the end no matter what you believe, if you made the decision prematurely it'll only come back to haunt you I think.

Sounds like you've got party fatigue. Try laying off partying for a while and reading more books. If you still want to join a church when you're feeling centered in yourself and comfortable with the pace of your life, and your behavior, there is certainly no shortage.

You'll meet more decent church-going folk as you start to take up hobbies that aren't related to booze or casual sex. Then you won't have to go by yourself. :)
