God I hate Finland.

"Finland is a top performer in numerous metrics of national performance, including education, economic competitiveness, civil liberties, quality of life and human development. In 2015, Finland ranked first in the World Human Capital, topped the Press Freedom Index, and was the most stable country in the world during 2011–2016, according to the Fragile States Index; it is second in the Global Gender Gap Report, and has ranked first in every annual World Happiness Report since 2018."

Greenland is a barren land,
And one that bears no green,
Where there’s ice and snow
And the whale fish blow
And the sun is seldom seen, brave boys,
And the sun is seldom seen….:musicnotes:

Okay, that’s Greenland. But beware the advertising of the frozen north…

Finland also has a strong military. It has universal conscription for all males over 18. That's right, every man gets drafted into the military. Also they stay in the military reserves until they are 50 or 60 years old. But it isn't so bad. The Finnish people strongly support their military. Polls show the Finn are the most willing people to defend their country.

Finland also ranks tenth in the world for private gun ownership. And their number of gun-related deaths (2.65) is similar to France and Switzerland.

But then again its highest marginal tax rate is close to 60%. Also the government collects an income tax on behalf of churches.

Gun deaths per capita are a sixth of that in the USA, but it is true they are a factor of 10 higher than the UK.

(So that mean gun deaths in the US are 60 times higher than the UK. Quite clearly the solution is to make sure more people have GUNS.o_O)

And their gun ownership rate is less than 30% of the US. No wonder their rates of gun death are so much lower than ours!

Obviously!
