Finland

"Finland is a top performer in numerous metrics of national performance, including education, economic competitiveness, civil liberties, quality of life and human development. In 2015, Finland ranked first in the World Human Capital, topped the Press Freedom Index, and was the most stable country in the world during 2011–2016, according to the Fragile States Index; it is second in the Global Gender Gap Report, and has ranked first in every annual World Happiness Report since 2018."
Nice! I guess.

I know. I hate them. Educated, prosperous and happy. Some friends went there recently (Finland) and were taken aback by it all.
In Norway where I live, it has become way to expensive and more and more people getting poor here, for my own situation i struggle a lot, but trying to not complain to much. One day the situation will become better again :)

Blimey that's odd. Notwegian GDP per capita remains among the highest in the OECD. It's all getting tight - inflation in the UK is about 10% currently.

Our current government only care about the filthy rich who get tax cut after tax cut, and the normal and poor people here get less and less money to live from.

Gun deaths per capita are a sixth of that in the USA, but it is true they are a factor of 10 higher than the UK.

(So that mean gun deaths in the US are 60 times higher than the UK. Quite clearly the solution is to make sure more people have GUNS.o_O)
And Finland's rate are same as in France and Switzerland. The evidence shows that gun death rates are not correlated to gun ownership rates.

From my understanding it is a lot like Minnesota where I grew up. It was only cold for two weeks out of the year.

I spent about 3 hours in Finland, total (at the airport).

It was 12 degrees below zero (Celcius, which is about 10f)
It was early in the morning, but my mate and I had arrived from another time zone, so we wandered to a craft beer bar at the airport and ordered a beer anyway, whilst waiting for a connecting flight.

The barmaid poured them, poured herself one, and joined us for a beer.

So, based on this veeeeeeeery limited experience, I can safely say Finland is both cold and awesome.

No, 10 F is hardly "cold". I would call that cool. A might uncomfortable. In Minneapolis (It got colder up north) we would have a couple of weeks of below zero temperatures (Fahrenheit) which would be about -18 C. And that was the high. The low would get down to -20 F or -29 C. That is without windchill. The absolute worst I ever saw was -29F or about -35C. Every time that I blinked my eyelashes would freeze together for an instant and then let go. That felt pretty cold. Northern Minnesota would get about 10 F cooler or about another 5 degrees Celsius. They would sometimes get the magic temperature of -40 when you do not need to say F or C.

I think a word missing perhaps - and such related to many other things. But the USA is certainly showing the way as to this being true.

Finns generally are quite a tough people ["SISU"}, which is very much a compliment. They tend to be down to Earth and quite pragmatic with a strong sense of dedication to family and heritage.

BTW, gotta tell yas a story. About a dozen years ago, FinnFest, which attracts Finns from all over the world, was held in the Marquette area on Lake Superior where we had a place and where our heart still is. The populace was warned then that when Finns go swimming and/or sunbathing, they don't always wear anything. The officials and the police said they'd make no arrests but would only give a warning if someone called and complained. Afterwards, according to the paper [The Mining Journal] after all was said and done, no one did call even though there was plenty of skin shown.

I really miss the saunas, btw.

But there are heavy regulations, unlike here in the States.
