First Trans Reality TV star found hanged in Mexico

...Is there anything good about the Mexican government, besides being able to bribe police officers out of arresting you?

Why is this just now becoming news? Is their media incompetent? Uneducated, or just naturally insufficient..? I have so very many questions...

Trans folk are seven times more likely to be murdered, even in America. When I was in Honduras in the late 90s, the whole LGBT set were very invisible there.

Being thought to be Trans, effectively ended my life. Even here in western America it is still very dangerous.

Her death is not a surprise.

Our bass player is Trans...the danger is nowhere as bad as it was just five years ago. We're seeing more acceptance then rejection.

Wow, this is horrible. I don't understand why you're ranting about law enforcement, though. The murder rate of trans women is wildly disproportionate pretty much everywhere. Transphobia is their #1 killer.

It depends. Indiana is very conservative, and there I just didn't feel safe (and I got flak for way "less"). California, though, I feel safe and like my life is just getting started. Even with healthcare providers I would be shocked and stunned if I was told I probably need to stop, that Im inducing a medical crises, and diagnosed as psychotic. It would be grand if all the world were more laid back and chill like California.

Virginia (at least the area I'm in) is getting more to the point of a shoulder shrug after the first jaw dropping stare.

BTW, I'm in the real Virginia down south, not that suburb of DC up north....

Not yet. We're more in the SW part, close to the Carolina line. We do frequent the Star City if that tells you anything. If you're interested I'll PM our website.

And before you ask, we are NOT a Bluegrass band, lol...

Okay. Roanoke is "Star City", right? I'm come heckle ya if you're ever in coastal region. Nah, just kidding. I'd buy you a beer.

You need to be careful even in California. Stay away from gang areas for sure, they could kill you, seriously. And wouldn't think twice about it.

...Young gang members in their 20's are the dumbest and most dangerous of all, specifically because they are so stupid.

Don't drink, but I will let you buy me an iced tea....and I'll get you in for half price, lol. BTW, if you ever saw us or our video you'll realize that the little blonde lady (who is also my wife) is the real talent; I'm just the eye candy...

When the Sun goes down I am IN. I will stay out on the way home on my bike a little later, but not much. There is a Safeway store close to me that feels very unsafe outside but they have guards there. Some cities, I do not know which, send their homeless and dopers to Portland, and I think the City Government is tiring of that. Not sure what can be done??? So far, helping them seems to have a limited effect. And, there are the "Intentionally Homeless". I can understand their point of view, but somehow I've been blessed, and am thankful.
