Followers of Abrahamic Religions Only: God, Why So Quiet and Why So Invisible?

In the Old Testament God gave laws etc, made sure that the Jews would remain separate from pagan nations because Jesus was to be born from the lineage of King David. He was preparing the Jews such as making them understand the nature of a blood sacrifice as a means of redemption from sin.
Once Jesus died for us there is little more for God to say, everything one needs to know to have salvation is written in the scriptures.
We are now being judged; I don't believe God is having any interaction with us despite what some theists might claim the next encounter with God will be on the last day.

That's a very interesting answer. I've never quite heard or read anyone express the belief that you stated in your last sentence. Therefore, what exactly do you think is going to take place on the "last day"?

Also, it would be interesting to have one of the Jewish members of this forum comment on what Sandra Jayne said about how God:

was preparing the Jews such as making them understand the nature of a blood sacrifice as a means of redemption from sin.

Or perhaps I will start a thread on that. Thanks for making that point about the blood sacrifices, Sandra.

I see. Well, I knew what you meant, but where you lost me was explained in what you said in you last sentence:

Therefore, what you are saying is that God has to depend upon a man-made invention to fulfill one of his prophecies, but yet, it won't even be completely fulfilled in small villages that may not have access to such things.

I didn't say or even imply that God had to *depend* on man made inventions. But leave it to someone to take that train of thought.

I did not say or indicate that God had to *depend* on man-made inventions.

It's man's choices - that fulfills prophecy.

The whole world does not mean every single person - there are many people who are blind and wouldn't see. There are babies who wouldn't know what they're looking at. There are people with disabilities who wouldn't know. The whole world seeing him come back simply means multitude of Nations all around the earth.

I just added the except villages without internet and television access because I know how unbelievers think and the first thing they will bring up is people in remote areas without the access - how are they going to see. And I actually believe that thought has passed through your mind.

So, why even mention it?

That sounds more like an interpretation on your part rather than what the verses say.

No, I hadn't even thought of that until you said it, and that's why I said that you lost me.

Because man's inventions are part of life that's why I mentioned it and it is a way for the whole world to view Christ coming back from the clouds in the sky.

Lost you - aok
