Food for Thought...

God has gifted man with the freedom to choose as he pleases, to do as he pleases, with who he pleases. Every action one makes, responsibility one takes. God is the creator but man is the child. Man must grow and learn and make mistakes, for without them we cannot improve. And man has made his mistakes, many, many mistakes. And has learned and matured significantly from its beginnings. But man is nowhere near the end of his life, for we are but young and naïve, ignorant to our own potential. We limit ourselves and hide from Gods true calling. We stop and worship what we don’t understand rather than question and learn. God did not limit us in any way, we choose to limit ourselves. We have the ability to create and change anything and everything around us just as God himself but we choose to waist his gift. We choose to stop learning, stop thinking, stop wondering, stop progressing, stop questioning everything hence we stop growing, and become stagnant. When we accept what is and stop wondering what if. We blindly worship when God wants us to question. Religion is the first weight of humanity, it forces us to simply except and believe rather than think and question. It was once believed that the earth was flat and even the Sun and the entire universe revolved around Earth, thankfully we have come to learn both of these to be false, but God did not simply give us these answers, we had to work for them and find out the truth on our own. Religions divide us and make us choose one mans version of Gods word over another, religions call us to fight those who question and think differently. If God gave us all free will to live however we choose than what gives us the right to take that gift away from someone. How can God want us to blindly believe and follow and not wonder? And to force others to do the same even if they evoke their God given right to disagree. It is our Human destiny to ask why. It is a right that any and every man, woman and child possess. If a religion takes that away it cannot be that of true God. The ultimate distraction is religion. To have so much hatred between brothers and sisters, how could that be the work of God? Everyone believes they are the exception not the rule. The belief that you are right and everyone else is just wrong. The religion you’re born into is no more your choice than your race. What better way to distract us from furthering ourselves than to take the form of God in every way shape and form, and to demand that all others are wrong. God’s language is not intolerance. Why always work toward an afterlife? Why not work toward a peaceful life on earth? Leave behind a better world for our children. Would God not want us to create Heaven on earth, should that not be the ultimate goal? Religion causes suffering it preaches peace yet practices destruction, calls for unity but breaths intolerance. It is the ultimate form of hypocrisy. God is a mentor not a punisher. God wishes us to grow and prosper, not destroy and hate. God accepts man is any form, any color, and from any creed. God is simply watching us live our lives he knows all the possible out comes of the choices we make, a master of the what ifs, but takes no part in the petty squabbles of man. The crimes we commit in his name he has no part of. He chooses no sides. We as a whole should actually be ashamed of ourselves for as his creation we should look to act as such. We should look to better ourselves rather than accept our flaws. We have the ability to observe our mistakes so that we may learn from them, yet as a whole we do not continue to learn. We have failed to come to the realization that every one of us is simply a person. We are all equals, God does not favor rich over poor, man over woman, gay over straight, black over white, God simply accepts us each as a unique child. We need to realize that we are not above God and therefore have no right of any kind to diminish any of his children. We stand all as equals and should work together as such in order to truly make God proud to call us his creation. Do we need religion for hope and something to believe in or can we simply believe in each other and create a world worthy of Gods creations?

I believe we can do just fine without god. Discrimination and fear and ignorance of others is because of lack of information and/or instillation of preconceived assumptions by those who dismiss wanting to learn about others and cultures.

You know, I've never heard about God from anyone but people, but you describe people as, effectively, ignorant children who shouldn't be trusted. If this is the case, why should I listen to what you have to say about God?

What did you ever learn about God that you didn't come from untrustworthy "man", either as the product of your own thought processes or things you've heard from other people?
