Foods and condiments you dislike.

I like a little cilantro in moderation. A few sprigs on the side, with lemon juice, or a little bit in salsa fresca. The problem is, people get carried away. It's an herb; it's not a damned vegetable. I love oregano, but I don't want a big heap of fresh oregano on my salad, either.
I have similar feelings about tabbouleh. Parsley is barely even an herb; it's more of a decoration. Why would someone make a whole salad out of it?

In the field of condiments, I dislike mustard the most. It looks exactly like baby poo, and shares the same consistency. :areyoucra

I'm really not crazy about BBQ sauce, honestly. It's too sweet, and I always feel like people KNEW it was too sweet and tried to cover up that fact with a lot of other flavors, which only complicated the too-sweetness and made it worse because NOW there are lots of subtle smoky flavors that REMIND you of the too-sweet flavor. Bah! :149:

I'm surprised at how much hatred cilantro engenders, but I shouldn't be - it does have a very distinctive flavor, so you either like it or hate it, I think. I hate cilantro in large doses; however, there is a lime-cilantro salsa recipe I use which is delicious - especially when I grow the cilantro myself.

I wish I disliked some foods.
There are some that I think I won't like but haven't tried...
Like lutefisk and isn't there some other kind or Nordic putrid, dried, salt cured shark, looks horrible
I really want to try bread fruit, Durian . They say it smells like rotten garbage and has the consistency of custard, but people that grew up with it love it.
I saw tongue mentioned.. mmmm so good, so soft and tender, love it.

Oh sorry condiments. I can no longer tolerate a lot of the hot relishes of Indian and Pakistani cuisine.Tastes good but too hot for me.

Oh, i eat a low carb/paleo diet, so big list of items I avoid eating. I eat this way not to be different, but because of a long standing stomach problem being helped with the diet and with it being found to help with heart disease prevention.

I should dislike:
  • The food which is not earned with the honest means.
  • The tummy full food because when the tummy is full of food, chinu thinks that, everybody is tummy full and loose the feeling of charity to do on anybody that time.
  • The tummy full food which force to sleep, than how can chinu be able to realise "Awakeness" in life.
  • The tummy full food which is the root of some dangerous diseases.
  • The food which should not eat chinu, As the food is for man, Man is not for the food.
  • The food which is equal to medicine like liquor, As it declares that chinu is sick.
  • The exess of chilli foods, As this snatches the sweetness of tounge or language.
  • The exess of spicy foods, As this becomes the reason of wet nights which is a dangerous disease.
At the end i remember some quotes:

" farida dekh parai chopri na tarsa ji, rukhi sukhi khie ke thanda pani pi" - Sekh Farid sahib.
English: O farida, don't look after the creamy breads of others, eat your dry one and drink cool water."

" Alap ahar sulap si nindra, jivan tode bandhana, ann pani thora khiya" - Guru Gobind Singh.
English: " Eat less as it will not force you to sleep, this will remove the bondages for your life "

"jaisa kahve ann, tesa pave mann " -Guru nanak.
English: "Tho shall you eat, So is your mind"

Reason, and reason again
Yellow squash and cabbage make me throw up, and that's not a hyperbole. I would as a child dread having to eat either vegetable; it took me three hours to finish my portion. I would go through ten glasses of water on St Patty's day.

I can't stand feta unless the taste is subdued by the rest of the plate.

I love almost any condiment but I think soy sauce spoils most meals. Good white rice does not need such additions.

I made my own hot sauce once... it was hotter than your average hot sauce, and I just made it with chili flakes, chili pepper, cayenne pepper, olive oil, and vinegar... :p

Most kinds of brie I find vomit-worthy. It tastes like a dusty old attic. Oh, and provolone.

Mango salsa. WTF?

Pine nuts. Especially in perfectly good pesto.

I have no love for the Whip. What's so miraculous about it? Nothing.

Green olives. I've tried to like them, but they just keep letting me down. Nothing wrong with black and kalamata olives though.

Safeway Select frozen pizzas. The crust is just terrible. The cardboard analogy is frighteningly spot-on.

Mostly, I don't like bland food. No offense to mum, but I grew up eating some particularly boring dishes, such as over-baked, under-seasoned chicken breast with broccoli, white rice and milk. Out of that, my proficient skills in the kitchen were born.
