Alrighty! Time to lay em out. Let's talk guns and post some pics of our broomsticks. Here's my free floating heavy full bore Remington 700 .308 in all it's glory. I just took it out of storage and am super excited to take it out shooting with friends! It's bagged me a few deer, so it's tested and true for sure!

I also have a British .303 and a .50cal muzzle loader in storage still that I might take out and fix up. We'll see!

I know all the parts for it are legal.

Reminds me of owning an AR-15 in my state; you can't buy an AR-15 outright, but you can buy the parts and assemble it. That said, there's some hurdles one needs to jump over to get those parts here. You get those parts from licensed distributers?

I have a couple of air pistols. One a revolver. I had a real AR15 made by Colt but got rid of it.

A couple of years later the People's Republic of New York banned them ergo the assault weapons ban.

I also have a shelf of shotgun shells but no shotgun. Crazy!

Take it out plinking one last time before you get rid of it! Have you thought of replacing it with something different? .22s are great for putting holes in paper

I can't even remember what calibre it takes it's been that long since I used it

I do actually enjoy shooting things, but the nearest range is far from where I live and right now I have mobility issues

I don't know about where you live, but where I live air rifles aren't treated quite the same way as cartridge rifles. You can go out into the woods and plink away without much trouble imo. That said, if you have mobility issues then it may not be a practical solution for you

I'm in England where the civilian population can't own firearms

Low powered air rifles are however legal

You know, I've thought about getting a shotgun for home defense but honestly I can't justify the purchase as it's just me and any real home invasion situation would result in me just climbing out the window with my dog. Crimes like that are actually super rare where I live even though I'm in a population center

What year is that Remington 700? There was a model recall for an accidental discharge problem. Did you get yours repaired?

Oh shoot! Thank you so much for informing me of this... They are closed right now, but I will call them when they are open next. My rifle was purchased during the time faulty models were being made, so I definitely need to make sure my rifle is ok to shoot. I've noticed had any problems with it yet, but I'm not gonna test it

I like shooting guns. I was pretty good at it when I was young.

I don't own a gun.

If I did own a gun, I think I'd have to shoot it.

A great deal.

Did I mention that I don't own a gun?

Taurus firearms are, in my opinion, cheaply made guns. The Judge series is particularly problematic. The cylinder locking bolts are poorly timed and the locking springs are weak, so the cylinders are often loose even when cocked, causing bad allignment, and the bolts are sometimes rounded so don't engage the notches securely. There's also a problem with the cylinders themselves. Some shotshells jam and are hard to extract. There have also been problems with the firing pins jamming the actions.

You mentioned your gun was 3", but it's not clear whether you were referring to the barrel or the cylinder. Have you had any of these problems with this revolver?
If I were looking at a .45/410, I'd go with the more reliable S&W Governor.

The Desert Eagle 50 -- just... Why? Rhinoceros attacks? ;)
