Taurus firearms are, in my opinion, cheaply made guns. The Judge series is particularly problematic. The cylinder locking bolts are poorly timed and the locking springs are weak, so the cylinders are often loose even when cocked, causing bad allignment, and the bolts are sometimes rounded so don't engage the notches securely. There's also a problem with the cylinders themselves. Some shotshells jam and are hard to extract. There have also been problems with the firing pins jamming the actions.

You mentioned your gun was 3", but it's not clear whether you were referring to the barrel or the cylinder. Have you had any of these problems with this revolver?
If I were looking at a .45/410, I'd go with the more reliable S&W Governor.

The Desert Eagle 50 -- just... Why? Rhinoceros attacks? ;)
I have not had any issues with either of my taurus.
I have had the the 9mm for about 7 years and the Judge for about 5.
three inch barrel.

the DE50 was purchased from my nephew for $500.
He was supposed to buy it back from me but never did.
When asked about it he said he would rather not buy it back if that was ok.
i said not problem.

Alrighty! Time to lay em out. Let's talk guns and post some pics of our broomsticks. Here's my free floating heavy full bore Remington 700 .308 in all it's glory. I just took it out of storage and am super excited to take it out shooting with friends! It's bagged me a few deer, so it's tested and true for sure!

I also have a British .303 and a .50cal muzzle loader in storage still that I might take out and fix up. We'll see!
A heavy barrel is the only barrel for me.
One I used to shoot (22LR)....

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I have a really cool antique gun that I took to Antiques Roadshow once and found out a lot about it. It was made around 1840 at the Tower of London. It was used by Union troops most likely. It has a bayonet which also seems used. The stock was broken at some point but repaired very well. I love it. I inherited it. It's super long and very heavy! I don't know how people carried these into battle.

How long is it?

It's not possible to tell from that photograph

I wonder how many people have been killed by it

I once held a deactivated Bren gun at a museum and wondered the same
I know. I have wondered the same thing myself. The bayonet really freaks me out for some reason.

Shooting someone is one thing but I think bayonetting someone is something else, I should imagine it feels more personal

I also have a German made PPK like the one James Bond used to use, but it doesn't work - it just looks good. Heck, I don't even know where it is, now that I am thinking about it.

I don't want to make a speech but If you're hurt or sick do you read a 250 yr. old medical book to find ways to improve your situation? In the US, the Constitution must be followed. There are ways to update it but we don't.
People search for answers to their spiritual nature. Where do they search? Why look at 6000-year-old or 2000-year-old theories of religion?
All done! Now that I have taken @Soandso 's OP completely off-topic, I apologize and I am going to hide.

To ride, shoot straight, to tell the truth,
That was the ancient law for youth.

Old days are gone, old ways are done
But the Law holds true, oh little son!

I can see the originalist reasoning behind the ruling, but it puts an abstract political position before the public good.
What practical use would a bump stock be? You can't target shoot, hunt or even plink with your gun jumping around like that. It's only practical use would be in a firefight or mass shooting.
