For Muslims, Discuss American Terorism

I am re-posting this here in the hopes of getting some input from those of the Muslim faith.

Terrorism: any act intended to cause death or serious bodily harm to civilians or non-combatants with the purpose of intimidating a population or compelling a government or an international organization to do or abstain from doing any act.

I have seen it stated a few times here by Islamic members that, "terrorism is appropriate to stop terrorism.", and that "America uses terrorism on Muslims."

My question, perhaps asked in ignorance, is in what way has America used terrorism specifically targeting Muslims in the past. And in what way is America using terrorism specifically targeting Muslims currently?

I am not talking about the torture of prisoners. (A deplorable and shameful act of the US Government.) Or the Invasion of foreign countries for questionable purposes. (Iraq comes to mind).
I would specifically like to hear of instances of American terrorism against Muslims.

What i understand from this sentence is that if some body do wrong thing like terrorisom on you, you can also respond wrong with terrorisim.

Well , in no way Islam all allows act of terrorism , even is some body is doing terreriom on muslim , you have the right to stop and fight with those terrorist who are killing innoncent human being but in no way , no way you can kill innocent people in response. You can just fight with wrong people who are promoting terror and not have to heart or destroy the properlty of innocent/general people.

Sorry , this might not the answer you are looking for but I want to calrify this point which can be misunderstood.

I have had one responder of the Muslim faith tell me that Allah allows one to fight terrorism with terrorism. I found this disturbing and wanted the opinions of other Muslims on this matter, as well as the other questions.

Well its not a matter of opinion.. Anyone even slightly familiar with Islamic concepts and what Prophet Muhammad's practices were regarding terrorism, can never say that Islam allows terrorism ..

Prophet Muhammad never allowed to harm the innocent even during a war. Nowadays what these western powers refer to as 'collateral damage' was strictly prohibited by Prophet Muhammad. I can give you many references regarding this.

Anyways, as far as American terrorism is concerned, I will not say that America only targets muslims. I am a muslim but I also pity other people who are affected by American terrorism equally if not more than us. Sometimes even Americans are affected by their own country's terrorism.

US does everything 'in the name of national security' . During the afghan war when Zia ul Haq of Pakistan was supporting US against USSR in afghanistan. Zia needed money to fight this war. So guess how did US come up with the money. US allowed Pakistan (under cover of course) to smuggle Drugs to US. Yes US helped Pakistan win a war against USSR by making its own people drug addicts. What do YOU call it? isn't it terrorism? Its a fact that nearly every person in Pakistan knows by the way..

But most of the time US does these things for economic reasons, to support the american way of life.

I would have to say giving selling drugs and consequently making people addicted to them is NOT terrorism. Terrorism is the use of violence to incite fear, destruction, and to attract attention to the action. Basically if the terrorist get are attention and scare us, they win. I don't see much of a connection between that and illegally selling drugs and most people wouldn't be terrified about people abusing drugs.

well i wouldn't comment on your judgement, but I would be terrified if I knew my government was allowing our youth to destroy themselves by drug abuse.

Anyways I was just exhibiting the attitude of US government and their capacity for taking such horrific actions in the name of so called 'national security'.

I haven't even started telling what US has and is still doing to so many countries around the world that can be attributed to your definition of terrorism.

By the way i would like to hear from tumbleweed as its his thread..

I find our Governments use of the drug trade to further any agenda reprehensible. It should have been a lesson learned in Nicaragua, but unfortunately not.

Is this terrorism? No. But it is no less a crime against humanity.

But I am genuinely interested in what others consider to be American Terrorism.

By "zionist terrorism" I would assume you mean the continuing US support of Israel, and Israel's treatment of Palestinians.

Is this justification for "terrorism is appropriate to stop terrorism."?

And does indirect support of terrorism through support of a country qualify as actual terrorism?

well being a Pakistani.. I will say that these drone attacks are getting to our nerves.. Further these private contractors under the administration of CIA are creating a hell here. They roam freely in SUVs carrying weapons and never stopping at police checkpoints.. Recently an FBI agent was caught in North West Frontier Province who was apparently working under the flag of a extremist organization. That FBI agent was recruiting young boys for suicidal attacks. strange eh!!?

Well many suicidal attacks have happened at places where taliban have denied the attack.

There are so many conspiracies linked with the US nowadays here in Pakistan, I can write a book about it.. hehe..

I can provide proof to everything I say..

And i believe that terrorism is not appropriate to stop terrorism btw... thats why when US was attacked by an act of terror, it had no right to terrorise the whole region near afghanistan...
