Click here: How Well Do You Know Apu?

Whether charging $1.85 for a $0.29 stamp or showing off gunshot scars, Apu of "The Simpsons" is America's favorite Kwik-E-Mart proprietor. He also makes no secret of his Hindu roots. Test your knowledge of Apu and religion.

Thank you, and come again. :p

I'm amazed Mr Spinkles hasn't posted here yet...I scored a not so shabby 11/12 (I spelt Apu's surname wrong).:D

I also got 11/12 Bastet--I spelled Apu's last name wrong too, because I've never been to the official Simpsons site.

Damn, damn, damn!

My favorite Apu quote "(angry) Mr Simpson you have insulted my god now get out and come again (smiling) !"

Ah, Mr. S, I thought for sure you'd know that one! :p You know, your avatar is evil...I can't look at it without thinking "Mmm...donuts..." Love the sig too...he has some of the best lines lol.

Thanks, I drew it myself on Microsoft Paint *proud grin*. I think from now on, my signature will be a different Ralph Wiggum line. The next one very well could be "Principle Skinner, I got carsick in your office."

It's very well done! :p The one that popped into my head when I saw your sig was "Miss Hoover, I ate my red crayon". Not one of his best lol but it's the first one that sprang to mind.

LOL they are all his best. Congratulations! By quoting from the Simpsons (multiple times now, I think) you have made Mr Spinkles' List of Very Very Cool People.

So, where is the Springfield located depicted in the Simpsons.

My guess is Missouri.

Good question, (Q)! It was actually answered in one of the more recent episodes where it satired VH1's "Behind the Music" by doing The Simpsons: Behind the Laughter.

In the episode, the narrator revealed that The Simpsons are from northern Kentucky.

Of course, no town in the U.S. has all of the characteristics of Springfield (a gorge, a nuclear plant, etc.)

Ah, OK. I see on the map of Kentucky there is a Springfield located just southeast of Loisville...

BUT, there is a Simpsonville just east of Loisville right near a town called Shelbyville. I wonder which one it is they refer?

I thought Missouri because on one episode Grandpa drives to Branson, Missouri with his new girlfriend, which is south of Springfield, Missouri.

"I wonder which one it is they refer?"

I don't think the writers ever had a specific town in mind. They probably picked the name Springfield because it's the most common town name in the U.S. and they probably said Northern Kentucky just to revive the controversy. The writers of the show are quite evil, really.
