Former NY Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo says hush money case against Trump should not have been brought forward

Finally we have a Democratic with common sense and not just a pirate with that cut throat attitude.

As Cuomo said, the real threat to Democracy is when the justice system is used to target political opponents. This DNC is a threat to Democracy, even in the eyes of a former card carrying NY State Democrat AG and Governor. It was obvious, but Cuomo was willing to spit up the kool aid and climbed out of the rabbit hole. Hopefully the moderate Democrats will see the same threat to Democracy and not remain human shields to the DNC version of Hamas.

It is unsurprising that one criminal politician
wants no prosecution of other criminal
politicians. They enjoy their being above the
law, & the ability to misbehave as they please
with impunity.
There are too few prosecutions of the high
& mighty who violate laws. Let this be the
beginning of politicians who fear prosecution.
Their conduct will likely improve.

Nancy Pelosi made a lot of money recently doing insider trading. What should happen to her?

Cuomo said the biggest threat to Democracy is the perception of a rigged Injustice System, like he sees in NYC. If you recall, didn't the DNC already use the Stormy Daniels scam in 2016? It had no legs based on established legal theory.

The difference today is connected to the Prosecution's new legal theory that Trump used campaign money to seal that confidentiality agreement. It is not the agreement that is considered a problem, but the conspiracy theory of using campaign funds. It is a lame legal position that will go away on appeal. However, it can serve the purpose of election interference, but it smells like early Banana Republic, which if let go, is a threat to Democracy. The DNC is now the worse threat to Democracy. If Trump wins, and he goes after every criminal Democrat, will that be good if they improve? Many of the crooks are already whiny about the possibility of Trump doing that; do onto others as they did such as FBI raids only against Republicans or Clergy.

Say Trump decides to go after Nancy Pelosi, using a friendly state that hates her. Is that the way to go? What she did is criminal.

One of the things that makes NY less favorable to Trump was when in office, Trump set a limit when it came to writing off property taxes, on your Federal income taxes. An overpriced state like NY got used to this deduction, supplementing their expensive state property taxes. But it sort of used income taxes from more efficient and cost effective states, ripping off the poor states. Trump limited the deduction to average property taxes so it was fair to all states.

That hit Inefficient Democrats states like NY and California, NJ, the worse, and made a Trump their money enemy. He was not doing good by the rich Democrat donors. This is about payback; will cost him. That change has led to migration out of NY to Texas and Florida, which then lowers their tax revenue even more. It is not hard to find a jury who were stung by the fairness of closing a loophole.

Now that she's dead, she's evaded prosecution.

It's been rigged to let the criminals go,
eg, Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon.
Let the system hold even powerful
politicians accountable.

Trump shouldn't escape prosecution simply
because others evaded it. His mistake was
believing that he could take criminal behavior
farther than ever before.
He just might deserve credit for being the 1st
of his kind to go to prison, & making it more
common.

This OP really should have a "minimum: chest waders" warning...

"Perception." Perception isn't always reality. Another danger to democracy is grifters that spread falsehoods in order to gain power and decrease their chances of being held accountable for their actions.
